Did you guess it? A capriccio is a free-spirited piece of music, and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol captures the energy of Spanish folk songs and dances in a lively five-movement showcase that’ll have you on the edge of your seat. Fun fact: at the first rehearsal of the piece, the orchestra started applauding for Rimsky-Korsakov after each movement because they were so blown away by it!
