After conflict disrupted farming livelihoods in Khartoum, support from SOS Sahel Sudan helped farmers like Hassan* access seeds and farming tools to return to their fields.

Funded by the Humanitarian Fund (SHF), this assistance is helping farmers restore their livelihoods, strengthen household income and rebuild their ability to provide for their families.

بعد أن أدى النزاع إلى تعطّل سبل العيش الزراعية في الخرطوم، ساهم دعم SOS Sahel Sudan في مساعدة مزارعين، من بينهم حسن*، على استئناف أنشطتهم الزراعية من خلال توفير البذور والأدوات والمستلزمات الزراعية الأساسية.

وبتمويل من صندوق السودان الإنساني يساهم هذا الدعم في مساعدة المزارعين على استعادة سبل عيشهم، وتعزيز قدرتهم على تأمين دخل أسرهم، ودعم قدرتهم على توفير الاحتياجات الأساسية لأسرهم.

In Gedaref, Save the Children’s Food Security and Livelihoods team provided flexible multi-purpose cash assistance to some of the most vulnerable households in Gala Al Nahal locality, integrated with nutrition support. The assistance reached children and their families, helping meet urgent needs while supporting children’s wellbeing.

For children receiving malnutrition treatment, flexible cash assistance can help their families access nutritious food and meet other essential needs, creating better conditions for children to recover.

This is the value of an integrated response – when we strengthen families, we create better chances for children to grow and thrive.

في ولاية القضارف، قدّم فريق الأمن الغذائي وسبل كسب العيش في منظمة رعاية الطفولة مساعدات نقدية مرنة ومتعددة الأغراض للأسر الأكثر ضعفاً في محلية قلع النحل، إلى جانب الدعم التغذوي.

ساهمت هذه المساعدات الأسر على تلبية احتياجاتها الأساسية، بما في ذلك الحصول على الغذاء، كما دعمت أسر الأطفال الذين يتلقون العلاج من سوء التغذية في توفير احتياجاتهم الغذائية والأساسية، مما يسهم في تهيئة ظروف أفضل لتعافي الأطفال.

Reliable power is essential to keeping life-saving vaccines safe. With support from the , Save the Children has provided a solar-powered energy system to the Red Sea state Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), strengthening the reliability and sustainability of its vaccine cold chain.

The system will help protect temperature-sensitive vaccines during prolonged power outages, reduce reliance on costly fuel and support the continued availability of essential immunization services. By strengthening the cold chain, the intervention will help improve access to life-saving vaccines for children and communities across the state.

وبدعم من اتحاد غافي ، وفّرت منظمة رعاية الطفولة نظاماً للطاقة الشمسية لبرنامج التحصين الموسع بولاية البحر الأحمر،
مما يعزز موثوقية واستدامة سلسلة تبريد اللقاحات.

In Save the Children’s office, our Food Security and Livelihoods team has launched a vocational skills training for 75 young people – 38 women and 37 men – to expand their access to diverse livelihood and employment opportunities.

Participants received practical training in sewing and tailoring, plastic products, food processing, flower production, welding, mechanics, carpentry and beekeeping.

The training is part of the Project which aims to strengthen livelihoods, reduce vulnerability and build resilience among communities most affected by displacement.



أطلق فريق الأمن الغذائي وسبل كسب العيش بولاية وسط دارفور تدريباً مهنياً لـ75 شاباً وشابة، بينهم 38 امرأة و37 رجلاً، بهدف توسيع فرص عملهم و الوصول إلى سبل متنوعة لكسب العيش.

حيث تلقى المشاركون تدريباً عملياً في مجالات الخياطة والتفصيل، تصنيع المنتجات البلاستيكية، تصنيع الأغذية، إنتاج الزهور، اللحام، الميكانيكا، النجارة، وتربية النحل.

ويأتي هذا التدريب ضمن مشروع الحلول المستدامة الذي يهدف لتعزيز سبل كسب العيش، والحد من مواطن الضعف، وبناء القدرة على الصمود لدى المجتمعات الأكثر هشاشة.

With funding from the Union, a five-day workshop was recently held for local health teams in Red Sea, Blue Nile and Central Darfur states.

Implemented in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health, the workshop strengthened the skills of local health managers in planning, coordination and monitoring of health services.

Aligned with Sudan’s National Health Sector Recovery Strategic Plan (2026–2030), the training contributes to strengthening the capacity, resilience and recovery of local health systems – helping them better respond to the needs of communities and people.

بدعم من الاتحاد الأوروبي، عُقدت مؤخراً ورشة عمل استمرت لخمسة أيام واستهدفت فرق الصحة المحلية في ولايات البحر الأحمر والنيل الأزرق ووسط دارفور.

ونُظمت الورشة بالتعاون مع منظمة الصحة العالمية ووزارة الصحة، بهدف تعزيز مهارات مديري الصحة المحليين في مجالات التخطيط والتنسيق ورصد الخدمات الصحية.

وتماشياً مع الخطة الاستراتيجية الوطنية لتعافي القطاع الصحي في السودان (2026–2030)، تسهم هذه التدريبات في تعزيز قدرات النظم الصحية المحلية ودعم قدرتها على الصمود والتعافي، بما يساعدها على الاستجابة بصورة أفضل لاحتياجات المجتمعات الأكثر حوجة.

Hope starts here for nearly 200,000 crisis-affected children in Sudan.


Save the Children is proud to lead the implementation of a new three-year USD 22 million investment from , supporting safe, inclusive and quality learning for children affected by conflict and displacement.

The announcement follows a high-level mission to Sudan, where ECW Director Maysa Jalbout met with children, teachers, communities and education partners affected by more than three years of disruption.

Working alongside partners, the programme will reach children and adolescents across West Darfur, South Kordofan and Gedaref states, helping restore access to education while supporting children’s wellbeing, protection and recovery.

الأمل يبدأ من هنا لما يقارب 200 ألف طفل متأثرين بالأزمة في السودان.

تفخر منظمة رعاية الطفولة بقيادة برنامج جديد يمتد لثلاث سنوات، بتمويل قدره 22 مليون دولار أمريكي من صندوق «التعليم لا ينتظر» (ECW)، لدعم توفير تعليم آمن وجيد وشامل للأطفال والمراهقين المتأثرين بالنزاع والنزوح.

ويأتي هذا الاستثمار عقب زيارة رفيعة المستوى إلى السودان، التقت خلالها ميساء جلبوط، مديرة صندوق التعليم لا ينتظر، بالأطفال والمعلمين والمجتمعات المحلية وشركاء التعليم، للاطلاع على واقع التعليم والتحديات التي تواجه الأطفال في ظل الأزمة المستمرة.

وبالتعاون مع شركائنا، سيصل البرنامج إلى الأطفال والمراهقين في غرب دارفور وجنوب كردفان والقضارف، بهدف تعزيز فرص الوصول إلى التعليم، وتوفير بيئات تعليمية آمنة وشاملة، ودعم الصحة النفسية والرفاه والحماية، بما يساعد الأطفال على مواصلة تعلمهم وبناء مستقبلهم.

Five-year-old Samar* suffered severe third-degree burns after falling into a pot of boiling water.

Undergoing 10 surgeries over four months, and with support from Save the Children through the Sudan Humanitarian Fund (SHF), she is now walking, playing and joyfully looking forward to returning to kindergarten.

أصيبت سمر*، البالغة من العمر خمس سنوات، بحروق من الدرجة الثالثة إثر سقوطها في قدر من الماء المغلي.

وبعد خضوعها لعشر عمليات جراحية على مدى أربعة أشهر، وبدعم من منظمة رعاية الطفولة من خلال صندوق السودان الإنساني، تمكّنت سمر من التعافي واستعادة عافيتها.

واليوم، تعود سمر للعب والابتسام، وتتطلع بسعادة إلى العودة إلى رياض الأطفال واستئناف حياتها كطفلة.
