Save the Children in Sudan

During a recent visit to a school in North Jabal Marra, Save the Children’s Country Director witnessed firsthand the impact of our Education in Emergencies programme. Supporting more than 2,800 displaced and out-of-school children, it is helping create a safe and protective environment where children can learn, grow and thrive.
The visit included discussions with the headmaster, teachers and the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA), as well as interactions with students and observations of classroom activities.
With support from , the school benefits from essential learning materials, improved WASH facilities and strengthened capacities of teachers and PTAs. Together, these efforts are restoring access to safe, inclusive and quality education for children affected by conflict.

خلال زيارة ميدانية حديثة إلى إحدى المدارس في منطقة شمال جبل مرة، وقف المدير القطري لمنظمة رعاية الطفولة على الأثر الملموس لبرنامج التعليم في حالات الطوارئ، الذي يقدّم الدعم لأكثر من 2,800 طفل من النازحين والأطفال المنقطعين عن الدراسة، مساهماً في توفير بيئة تعليمية آمنة تتيح لهم فرصة التعلّم والنمو وتحقيق إمكانياتهم
وشملت الزيارة لقاءات مع مدير المدرسة والمعلمين وأعضاء جمعية الآباء والمعلمين، إلى جانب التفاعل المباشر مع التلاميذ والاطلاع على سير العملية التعليمية داخل الفصول ومتابعة الأنشطة الصفية.
وبدعم من المفوضية الأوروبية للحماية المدنية وعمليات المساعدات الإنسانية (ECHO)، تستفيد المدرسة من توفير المواد التعليمية الأساسية، وتحسين مرافق المياه والإصحاح البيئي والنظافة الصحية، فضلاً عن تعزيز قدرات المعلمين وجمعيات الآباء والمعلمين. وتسهم هذه التدخلات المتكاملة في إعادة تمكين الأطفال المتأثرين بالنزاع من الوصول إلى تعليم آمن وشامل وعالي الجودة.
ومن خلال هذه الجهود، يواصل البرنامج الإسهام في استعادة حق الأطفال في التعليم، وتعزيز شعورهم بالأمان والاستقرار، وتهيئة بيئة داعمة تساعدهم على مواصلة مسيرتهم التعليمية رغم التحديات التي فرضتها الأزمة.

During a recent visit to Darfur, Tariq Abdulrahman, Safety and Security Director at Save the Children Sudan, reconnected with his roots as an educator by picking up a piece of chalk once again at Um Al-Qura School in Nirteti, West Jebel Marra locality.

Surrounded by students and teachers, Tariq reflected on his years in the classroom and spoke about the transformative power of education in shaping children's futures and building resilience in the face of adversity.

Um Al-Qura School is one of the schools supported by Save the Children. With more than 3,000 students, 70 teachers and 20 classrooms, the school plays a vital role in expanding access to safe, inclusive and supportive learning environments for children in crisis-affected communities

خلال زيارته الأخيرة لدارفور، عاد طارق عبد الرحمن، مدير السلامة والأمن في منظمة رعاية الطفولة بالسودان، إلى دورٍ يعرفه جيدًا، الا و هو دور المعلم، في مدرسة أم القرى بمدينة نيرتتي في محلية غرب جبل مرة ، مستعيدًا ذكرياته ومتفاعلًا مع الطلاب و المعلمين.

شكّلت هذه الزيارة تذكيرًا قويًا بالدور المحوري الذي يلعبه التعليم في رسم مستقبل الأطفال ومساعدتهم على بناء قدراتهم في مواجهة التحديات.

وتُعدّ مدرسة أم القرى إحدى المدارس التي تدعمها منظمة رعاية الطفولة ، حيث توفر فرصًا تعليمية آمنة وشاملة وداعمة لأكثر من 3,000 طالب وطالبة، من خلال 70 معلمًا موزعين على 20 فصلًا دراسيًا، لخدمة الأطفال في المجتمعات المتأثرة بالنزاعات.

During his recent visit to Darfur, the Country Director of Save the Children in Sudan, Mohamed Abdiladif, witnessed the arrival of a critical health and nutrition shipment.
The delivery of 65 metric tons of essential health and nutrition supplies to Darfur is a crucial step in our programming as we prepare for the rainy season. These supplies will bolster health and nutrition facilities in North, Central and West Darfur, enabling us to treat malnutrition, manage disease outbreaks and enhance our readiness for the rainy season

في إطار زيارته الأخيرة إلى دارفور، شهد المدير القطري لمنظمة رعاية الطفولة بالسودان، محمد عبداللطيف، وصول شحنة من الإمدادات الصحية والتغذوية الأساسية المنقذة للحياة، وذلك ضمن جهود تعزيز الاستجابة الإنسانية قبل موسم الأمطار.
ويُمثل إيصال 65 طنًا متريًا من الإمدادات الصحية والتغذوية خطوةً أساسية لدعم المرافق الصحية والتغذوية في شمال ووسط وغرب دارفور، بما يُسهم في علاج حالات سوء التغذية، والاستجابة لتفشي الأمراض، وتعزيز جاهزية الخدمات الصحية والتغذوية خلال موسم الأمطار.
