Our Environment Anyone can scan the Sudanese metropolitan landscape and recognise the trash occupying the space with very little regard for environmental appreciation.

Our environment, our responsibility initiative began with a common goal to influence the Sudanese community to take better care of their surroundings and be more aware of the environmental impact they have on a day to day basis. It is for this reason that a group of like minded individuals decided to take matters into their own hands using the most accessible tool of social media known to this gen

eration, Facebook. It was not long before a group of seven members exponentially grew within a short period to over 300, of which comprises a core group of 23 organisers.

السيدات والسادة متابعي قوقرين سودان،

مع استمرار الحرب في السودان، تتفاقم أزمة بيئية صامتة نتيجة لقطع الأشجار واسع النطاق، ما يؤدي إلى تدمير الغابات والمساحات الطبيعية، ويُخلف آثارًا طويلة الأمد على الإنسان والبيئة على حد سواء.

تحت مظلة مبادرة “استعادة” التابعة للتحالف الأخضر السوداني، تدعوكم قوقرين سودان للمشاركة في ندوة اسفيرية (عبر الإنترنت) تهدف إلى تسليط الضوء على هذه الأزمة وبحث سبل مواجهتها، بمشاركة نخبة من الخبراء البيئيين وصانعي السياسات.

تتضمن الجلسات التفاعلية المحاور التالية:
• الآثار البيئية والإنسانية لإزالة الغابات.
• الحق في السكن الآمن والبيئة الصحية، والدفاع عن الحقوق البيئية كجزء من حقوق الإنسان الأساسية.
• استراتيجيات يقودها المجتمع المحلي لاستعادة البيئة والتكيّف مع تغير المناخ، مع عرض لمبادرات شعبية ومسارات عملية للتعافي البيئي.
