Effective Collaboration Between FCBH, BSSP, and Scripture Union.........................
An effective ministry partnership between Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH), Bible Society of the South Pacific (BSSP), and Scripture Union (SU) has successfully strengthened Scripture engagement and discipleship among youth leaders through Audio Bible Listening Study Groups.

In November 2025, the three organizations collaboratively initiated a Scripture Immersion training program aimed at equipping SU leaders with practical skills in facilitating Audio Bible Listening Study Groups within their communities and ministry contexts.

Under this partnership:

Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH) provided Audio Proclaimer devices to support audio Scripture engagement and listening-based discipleship.

Bible Society of the South Pacific (BSSP) supplied Identity: Identified Bibles to complement the study and learning process.

Scripture Union (SU) hosted and coordinated the training program for its leaders.

Following the initial training, participating SU leaders conducted a structured ten-study series on Scripture Immersion through Audio Bible Listening Study Groups over a six-month period. The program emphasized active listening, group interaction, biblical reflection, spiritual formation, and community-based discipleship.

Today, 29 May 2026, a total of sixteen Scripture Union leaders successfully graduated and were awarded Certificates of Completion in recognition of their commitment and competency as Audio Bible Listening Study Group Facilitators.

This achievement demonstrates the significance of strategic collaboration between mission organizations, Bible agencies, and youth ministries in promoting meaningful Scripture engagement and empowering local leaders for sustainable ministry impact.

The partnership continues to serve as a model of effective cooperation in advancing Bible mission, leadership development, and transformational discipleship within communities.

On 14 May 2026, a one-day Scripture Engagement Training on Scripture Immersion (End-to-End) was successfully conducted at Munda, Western Province, Solomon Islands. The training represented a collaborative initiative between Youth With A Mission (YWAM), Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH), and Bible Society of the South Pacific (BSSP), demonstrating a shared commitment to strengthening Bible engagement and oral Scripture ministry within local church and community contexts.

The program was organised by Eivind Andås and YWAM Munda and facilitated by Dr. Jeremiah Dauara, whose presentations focused on practical approaches to Scripture engagement through audio Bible ministry, listening group facilitation, and community-based discipleship models.

A total of twenty church and community leaders representing twelve local churches participated in the training. The participating denominations included the South Sea Evangelical Church (SSEC), Assemblies of God (AOG), United Church (UC), and the Church of the Nazarene. The diversity of denominational representation highlighted the growing ecumenical cooperation in advancing Scripture engagement initiatives across the Western Province.

As part of the resource distribution component of the program, sixty-six Roviana Audio Proclaimers were distributed to participants and church representatives. In addition, each church representative received a Roviana Bible together with an S100 Audio Proclaimer to support the establishment and strengthening of church-based Audio Bible Study Listening Groups.

Participant representatives expressed sincere appreciation to YWAM, FCBH, and BSSP for their strategic partnership and investment in local ministry development. Special acknowledgment was also given to Dr. Jeremiah Dauara for facilitating the training and providing new knowledge, practical skills, and contextualized resources that will enhance church and community Bible engagement programs throughout the region.

It was a great honour and joy to witness the Bible Society of the South Pacific team members presenting the beautiful PNG worship song, “Yes Mi Hamamas Long Bikpela Jisas,” together with our Pacific Islands ministry partners during the Global Partnership Meeting in Cyprus, Turkey.

This special moment reflected the unity, diversity, and shared mission of the global Bible ministry movement.

Gathering with ministry partners from around the world was a powerful reminder that we are one body in Christ, working together to make God’s Word available and accessible to all people.

The Bible Society of the South Pacific (BSSP), in partnership with Bible Society Solomon Islands (BSSI), continues to play a vital role in advancing Sign Language Bible Translation. Their ongoing support is demonstrated through the provision of Identity Identified Bibles, which are essential tools for strengthening the translation team’s understanding of biblical identity and message.

By equipping translators with these resources, BSSP and BSSI are not only enhancing the quality and accuracy of the translation work but also ensuring that the Deaf community can access Scripture in a language that speaks clearly to their identity and lived experience.

This initiative reflects a strong commitment to inclusivity, empowering the translation team to faithfully communicate God’s Word in Sign Language and extend its impact within Deaf communities.
