📦 The Sukiki, Komuvaolu, Buma, and Ailau Village Disaster and Climate Risk Committees (VDCRCs) recently received emergency kits from Oxfam through the Disaster READY Project.
🤝 The kits were handed over by Mr. Jamal Namo (Oxfam) during a joint visit by Oxfam and the Solomon Islands Meteorological Service (SIMS) from 23rd to 27th February to Sukiki and Komuvaolu villages and 4th to 9th March to Buma and Ailau in Malaita Province. The trip to Malaita involved representatives from National Disability Forum Solomon Islands and West Are’Are Rokotanikeni Association (WARA).
This initiative is part of the Disaster READY Project under the Australian Humanitarian Partnership (AHP), funded by the Australian Government 🇦🇺.
