World Environment Day 2026 🌿

To mark World Environment Day, the Western Province Network for Sustainable Environment (WPNSE) organised a clean-up campaign around Gizo Town. Together, we stand united in protecting our environment and keeping our town clean for nature, our climate, our culture, and for future generations.

A clean environment reflects a strong and responsible community. Every small action we take today helps create a healthier and more sustainable tomorrow.

WPNSE would like to sincerely thank the business houses and residents of Gizo for keeping their surroundings clean and supporting this important initiative. A special thank you also goes to all network members and volunteers who turned up and dedicated their time and effort to clean our town.

🌊 Underwater Clean-Up in Gizo — Thank You Volunteers & Partners! 🌊

What a wonderful day yesterday in Gizo as the Western Province Network for Sustainable Environment (WPNSE) and stakeholders came together to carry out an underwater clean-up to help keep our marine environment free from waste.

This activity highlights our shared responsibility to protect Gizo’s beautiful ocean and marine life for future generations.

We sincerely thank all our stakeholders and volunteers who took the time to join and support this important effort. A special thank you to the Dive Gizo team of divers for leading the underwater clean-up operation and helping recover waste from the seabed.

Together, we can keep Gizo clean and protect our ocean. Let’s continue working hand in hand for a cleaner and healthier environment.
