Why the Five I’s Matter🦅🦅🦅
Not every Kuya or Ate who wears our colors carries our values. Some miss meetings, stay away from community service, and forget the oath they took. Often the reason is simple: they never truly went through the Five I’s.
The Five I’s are not a formality. Each stage is there to shape an Eagle:
Interview: tests character, availability and commitment before anyone joins.
Introduction: brings the applicant before the brotherhood and sisterhood, so every member can vouch for them or object.
Indoctrination: teaches the meaning of Eagleism, so the oath is understood, not just recited.
Incubation: proves perseverance through three months of meetings and service, with no excuses.
Induction: honors those who have earned the name Kuya or Ate.
When these stages are rushed, shortened or skipped, we get members in name only. They hold the title without the foundation behind it. Without that foundation, their duties feel like burdens instead of honors.
Let’s protect the integrity of our brotherhood. Let no one become an Eagle without passing through the Five I’s, because the process doesn’t just admit Eagles, it makes them.
