Happy International Day of Biodiversity — 22 May!
Every tiger. Every bee. Every forest. Every coral reef.
Biodiversity isn't just beautiful it's the invisible infrastructure holding our world together. The food we eat, the air we breathe, the water we drink all of it depends on thriving ecosystems.
But right now, over 1 million species face extinction. We've lost 68% of wildlife since 1970. And nature powers $44 trillion of the global economy.
The question isn't whether we can afford to protect biodiversity.
The question is whether we can afford not to.
Together, we can protect, restore and regenerate. 💚

Sustainability in action. 🥕

This traditional, low-energy method of washing carrots highlights the power of community-driven agriculture. No heavy machinery, no carbon emissions just teamwork and resourcefulness to prepare fresh produce for the market.

Forests don't fail. Governance does.
Healthy forests aren't just about trees
They're about who gets to decide what happens to them.
When local communities, indigenous peoples and youth have a real seat at the table forests thrive. When they don't❓ Everyone loses.

Here's what strong forest governance looks like:
✅ Inclusive Participation , communities at the center
✅ Effective Policies, science-based, people-driven
✅ Transparency and Accountability no more closed doors
✅ Sustainable Management , ecology + economy in balance
✅ Shared Benefits because nature's gifts belong to all
The result❓
💚 Climate resilience
💚Clean water for all
💚 Biodiversity protected
💚 Livelihoods secured

A legacy for future generations
At , we believe the path to sustainable forests runs through empowered communities not around them.

Strong governance. Thriving forests. Sustainable future.

Unpopular opinion: The donkey is one of the most important climate tools ever created.
No fuel. No emissions. No electricity needed.
Just strength, loyalty and an unbreakable connection to the land.
On , 8 May, We4Climate celebrates the rural communities where donkeys are still the backbone of daily life , carrying water, crops and the weight of survival in a changing climate.
Climate resilience isn't only about solar panels,
Sometimes it looks like a donkey walking a mountain path at dawn.
Honour the humble. Protect the local. Champion the grassroots.

Happy Sunday to y'all💚
Most people can't name one threat facing leopards.
That's exactly why they're disappearing.
✅Only ~10,000 remain in the wild
✅ West African leopards down 50% in 20 years
✅Climate change is shrinking their world daily
No leopards = broken ecosystems.
Broken ecosystems = we all suffer.
Wildlife and climate are not two fights.
They are one. 🌍

A farmer said something to us that stopped us in my tracks.

Why are you still growing vegetables when you have the land, money, water and skills for garlic, tomatoes or onions❓

And honestly❓ That question revealed everything wrong with how many farmers think today.
We chase premium crops like they're trophies.
We look down on sukuma wiki. On spinach. On hoho.
Because they don't feel big enough.
But here's what nobody is saying out loud .
❇️ Sukuma wiki harvests for 20+ weeks.
Even if you miss a week , you still earn next week.
❇️ Tomatoes❓One bad harvest = everything gone.
One shot. One risk. One loss.
That's not farming.
That's gambling.
The real rule of a profitable farm is simple:
Put in 100 → get out 120 = ✅ profit
Put in 1,000 → get out 800 from a "premium" crop = loss
Before you plant ANYTHING ask:
📌 Who will buy this❓
📌 How much will they pay❓
📌 When will they need it❓
The market is your compass.
Not trends. Not your neighbor. Not what feels premium.
Smart farmers don't just work hard.
They think hard first.

It's Green Up Day and the Earth called. She needs us. 🌍💚
Every piece of litter removed .
Every tree planted.
Every community that shows up .
It all matters. You matter.
The climate crisis won't fix itself
but together, one green action at a time,
we are the fix. ✊
Clean up. Plant up. Show up.
Together, we build a greener world.

The planet doesn't rest.
Neither do the workers protecting it.💚🛠️
Happy International Workers' Day!

🟢Today we celebrate the farmers waking up before sunrise .

🟢The forest rangers guarding what's left of our wild spaces .

🟢The waste collectors keeping our cities clean .

🟢The climate activists marching so future generations can breathe.

🟢The community heroes doing the invisible work nobody films .

These are the real climate champions.
And yet they are the FIRST to suffer when floods destroy harvests, when heatwaves make outdoor work unbearable, when droughts dry up the only income a family has ever known.
Climate justice cannot exist without workers' justice.

As We4Climate, we believe a green future must be a fair future.
one where every worker is protected, valued and heard. 🌍
So today, we don't just say thank you.
We recommit to fighting for the world they deserve.

💬 Drop a 💚 if you believe climate action starts with protecting people.

17 Agricultural Laws
Every Farmer Should Know 👨🏼‍🌾🔥
Most farmers don't fail because of laziness…
1️⃣ Don't chase high seasons.
They come with their own risks.
Be a farmer, not a gambler.

2️⃣ Choose at least 2 main crops.
3️⃣ Always have crops at different growth stages.
Constant planning = constant supply.

4️⃣ No crop is the most profitable.
Master the pros and cons of each.
5️⃣ A big farm ≠ a successful farm.
Management beats size. Every time.

6️⃣ Stick to your spraying and fertilizing plan.
7️⃣ Don't blindly follow agrochemical sales agents.
Not all of them are agronomists.

8️⃣ Cut costs smart never at the cost of quality.
9️⃣ Never hold perishable produce.
Sell at market price. Time is money.
🔟 Always test new seeds on a small scale first.

1️⃣1️⃣ Be present at critical crop stages.
Your vision, your responsibility.
1️⃣2️⃣ Avoid hiring close family to manage your farm.
1️⃣3️⃣ If you have farming neighbors plant the same crops.
Collective power wins.🤝

1️⃣4️⃣ Always have a written farm plan.
1️⃣5️⃣ Old proven seed varieties rarely disappoint.
1️⃣6️⃣ Passion for farming is non-negotiable.

1️⃣7️⃣ NEVER use 100% chemical fertilizers.
Blend with organic inputs.
Chemical alone = dead soil. Dead soil = no food.

Soil is alive.
Feed it well.
It will feed you back.
