SEEV Africa Transforming Events Into Sustainable Brands

Beyond the Stage, a Creative Café hosted by in partnership with and with support from NUDOR, convened East African creatives with and without disability on Friday, December 5, for a day of knowledge sharing, skills exposure, and industry networking.

The event featured a networking breakfast, fireside chat, exhibitions, and interactive sessions facilitated by renowned cultural curator . It was hosted alongside the Davido 5ive Alive Tour Kigali as part of a broader effort to elevate East Africa’s creative industry.

Special thanks to our Chief Guest, the Minister of State Hon. Sandrine Mutoni for gracing the creative cafe and to Mathew Rugamba of and Troy Elimu of for sharing their experiential knowledge with all who attended.

Attendees included emerging creatives, designers, entrepreneurs, youth organisations, and ecosystem builders from across the East African region that were in Kigali for the Davido concert.

This edition of Beyond the Stage built on a previous interactive creative café held in August during the Giants of Africa festival closing concert. It featured renowned East African DJ and cultural icon, DJ Etania, and placed a special focus on women in the creative space.

SEEV AFRICA in partnership with Intore Entertainment and Kontent, with support from NUDOR - National Union of Disabilities' Organisations of Rwanda present Beyond The Stage: A Creative Cafe with Davido happening this Friday December 5th from 8:30am to 12pm at Norrsken East Africa with attendance by invite only.

In a convergence of community, creativity and connection, this creative cafe is a peer learning platform that goes beyond the performance on stage, focusing on skills, networks and agency for Rwandan youth and women,refugees and persons with disability in sports, music and entertainment, in all their diversity.

BEYOND THE STAGE: A CREATIVE CAFE WITH ETANIA MUTONI

SEEV AFRICA in partnership with Intore Entertainment and Kontent, hosted the second edition of Beyond The Stage: A Creative Cafe featuring Etania Mutoni and moderated by Mary Maina.

Hosted at the Amahoro Stadium- VIP Lounge on the 2nd of August 2025, the invite only event was graced by career and business professionals in the creative space, representatives of corporate and development entities, and content creators from all over East Africa who were in Kigali for the Giants of Africa Festival.

Female icons like Nigerian sensation, Ayra Starr and Ugandan celebrated DJ, Etania—represent a powerful symbol of what is possible when young women are empowered to lead through creativity. Their presence in Rwanda during the Giants of Africa Festival, offered a timely opportunity to ignite dialogue, skills exchange, and solidarity among local female creatives.

SEEV AFRICA's ED joined representatives from other sustainability driven organizations, signatories of the United Nations Global Compact Rwanda Chapter, to attend the Communication on Progress (CoP) Workshop designed to enable Rwandan companies to effectively report on their sustainability efforts.

We were introduced to the Communication on Progress (CoP) template, along with the essential tools and resources to strengthen their engagement with the UN Global Compact’s Ten Principles and the hashtag .

This workshop provided valuable insights and practical guidance to report on our sustainable practices, contributing meaningfully to the broader goals of the UN Global Compact and the advancement of sustainable development.

Pictorials: Our Founders represented as delegates at the Africa's Business Heroes Summit and Grand Finale last weekend in Kigali, Rwanda.

The celebrated the Top 10 finalists, selected from nearly 20,000 applicants to compete for a share of the $1.5 million prize. Under the theme “AI – African Innovation, Insight and Impact,” they pitched their businesses to a live audience and a distinguished judging panel, including Dr. Diane Karusisi, CEO of Bank of Kigali and Ibukun Awosika, Founder of the Chair Centre, who were joined by Fred Swaniker, Founder and CEO of Sand Technologies.

The event culminated in the awards ceremony, where the winners were unveiled.

The Africa’s Business Heroes (ABH) Prize Competition, a philanthropic initiative sponsored by the Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Philanthropy, will return to Rwanda for its 7th edition in December 2025.
