Emanuela Pia Viglione is the Senior Project Manager of GEINNOVA- Gestión Estratégica e Innovación, She is working with communities and institutions to turn change into opportunities for sustainable and inclusive growth.

With a background in Political Science and International Relations, she have built her career around connecting global challenges with local realities, whether supporting the evolution of cultural and creative ecosystems, designing new approaches to learning, or helping organizations navigate the green transition, her focus remains the same: creating conditions for people and places to thrive. She is particularly interested in how culture, knowledge, and innovation can shape more sustainable societies. Through international projects, partnerships, and educational actions, she is working to expand access to opportunity and ensure that progress is both sustainable and inclusive."

Session 4 is on "Ethics & Human Rights-Based Approach" with Mwikali Kasyoka Legal Equality Associate Equality Now Africa. The session is expacted to cover introduction to ethical community engagement, the Human Rights-Based Approach in practice, community ownership and many more.

Mwikali Kasyoka is a human rights lawyer with expertise in refugee law, women's rights, gender equality, and human rights advocacy. She is also an emerging technologist in the field of AI governance and policy. She previously worked in refugee operations at the Kakuma Refugee Camp, where she provided legal representation to refugees from conflict regions in Africa and the Middle East, supporting their access to territory, as well as to survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in refugee contexts and marginalized communities.

At Equality Now, she provides technical expertise on advocacy strategies for advancing women's rights and ending violence against women and girls (VAWG) across the region. She also engages with African human rights systems in efforts to hold governments accountable, and has contributed to building feminist coalitions across Eastern and Southern Africa to push back

against the backlash on women's rights and shrinking civic space.

Session 3 is on "Systems Thinking & Stakeholder Mapping" with Dr. Puleng Letsie on the 24th of July, 2026.

The session is expected to cover "understanding the systems that create and sustain problems and stakeholder mapping: specifically, who holds power? who is affected? who can help? Identifying your role in the system" and many more.

Dr. Puleng Letsie is a public health, gender, and human rights specialist with over 25 years of experience across Africa, working with governments, civil society, and international organizations. Having held leadership roles with UNAIDS, UNFPA, and UNDP, she has worked extensively on youth empowerment, sexual and reproductive health and rights, HIV, gender equality, and health policy. She currently serves as Coordinator for Menstrual Health & the African Coalition For Menstrual Health (ACMH) at the UNFPA in East and Southern Africa Regional Office.

Dr. Letsie holds a PhD in Psychology of Education, Master of Public Health, an MPhil in Human Rights, and a Master of Educational Psychology, among others. She is passionate about youth empowerment, gender equality, sexual and reproductive health, and strengthening inclusive, rights-based health and social systems.

Session 2 is on Accountability & Safeguarding: Accountable Interventions and Protection with Newah - Technical Advisor Safeguarding and Protection Mainstreaming/ Youth Engagement - International Liberia

Emmanuel Newah is an accomplished safeguarding, child protection, accountability, and development professional with over a decade of experience leading program across humanitarian and development settings in Africa. He currently serves as the Safeguarding Technical Advisor for Plan International Liberia, where he provides strategic leadership in safeguarding, Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH), child protection, youth engagement, and organizational capacity strengthening across program and partnerships.

Prior to joining Plan International, Emmanuel held technical and leadership roles with Mercy Corps, ZOA International, and Mary's Meals International. As Mercy Corps' Regional Community Accountability Reporting Mechanism (CARM) Advisor for Africa, he provided strategic oversight and technical support to country program in Ethiopia, Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Liberia, Sudan, and South Sudan, strengthening accountability systems, complaint and feedback mechanisms, safeguarding practices, and community engagement. His previous experience also includes Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL), program planning and management, accountability, and organizational development.

Throughout his career, Emmanuel has partnered with governments, United Nations agencies, donors, and civil society organizations to strengthen safeguarding systems, integrate protection into program design, promote meaningful participation of children and young people, and enhance organizational accountability. He is passionate about empowering young leaders, advancing inclusive and rights-based programming, and building resilient systems that protect the dignity, safety, and well-being of children and vulnerable populations across Africa.
