From this event, we learned that people in rural areas need love, care, empowerment, and safe spaces to relax and share their challenges, as well as propose solutions.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported us in making this event a success. This year, we are committed to making even greater strides, bringing more smiles, and inspiring hope in many lives through your continued support.

The first step to healing wounds is recognizing that they exist, followed by speaking out about them. During the Iwange program, we are introducing the signs of trauma, how to overcome it, and raising awareness. By the end of this month, we aim for people to have a shared understanding and basic knowledge about mental health, trauma, and depression. We are grateful for the progress we are making in our communities, and we can already see positive changes happening in karongi district

Starting on November 19th, HWCD and our partners launched a month-long campaign to raise awareness and provide support for mental health in rural areas and schools. This initiative focuses on addressing the impact of traumatic events and exploring ways to overcome them. Many individuals are silently struggling with depression and trauma, and this campaign aims to break the silence and create a platform for open dialogue.

Today, we held a meaningful session in with marginalized parents of children with special needs. We shared stories, learned from one another, and provided a space for support and understanding. Together, we are working to make a change
