Small hands. Healthy beginnings. 💚🧼

At Icyizere Academy, learning includes everyday habits that help children stay healthy and thrive. Celebrating Global Handwashing Day, October 15—and practicing these habits every day!

🎓 Different milestones. The same power of opportunity.

Meet Maddie—a recent Cal Poly graduate and Rotarian spending October with Life Link Rwanda. As she celebrates graduation, children at Icyizere Academy are beginning their educational journeys. 💚

Icyizere means hope, confidence, and trust. Help us bring those words to life.

Through Strong Beginnings, we’re raising $10,000 by October 31 to help fund 15 weeks of preschool education, meals, and care.

🌱 One child. One week. $10.

Watch Maddie’s story. Give through the link in our bio. Invite two friends to pass opportunity forward.

Three years ago, we visited Life Link Church Church in Gilbert, Arizona, and found a family. Their love and care left a lasting mark on us.

This week, we had the joy of returning that welcome as Pastor Dave and Pastor Chris spent two days with us in Rwanda, witnessing God’s work among the people of Byumba through Life Link Rwanda .

From Gilbert, Arizona, to Byumba, Rwanda, that first welcome has grown into a treasured friendship and partnership, rooted in our shared heart for building the Kingdom of God.

Grateful for the journey so far and excited for where God will lead us together!

Our children at Life Link Icyizere Academy have received complete new uniform sets designed to keep them comfortable and appropriately dressed for changing weather in Gicumbi, sports and hands-on learning activities.

More than a uniform, each set promotes dignity, belonging and confidence as our children learn, play and flourish.

Kicking off five days of training for the Life Link Icyizere Academy team as we prepare to open our new school premises in early September!
The facilities are fantastic, but the quality of what we teach must be equally exceptional. We are grateful to our friends from Inzozi Academy for sharing their expertise with our teachers.
A highlight from Day One was learning how to guide and discipline young learners through the nine fruits of the Spirit found in Galatians 5:22–23.
We look forward to a week filled with fun, focus, learning, and planning!

Life Link Rwanda is delighted to welcome spiritual directors from Colorado and Texas who are in Rwanda to facilitate a three-day Soul Care Retreat for ministry leaders.

Before the retreat, the team visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial and met the Light Group in Remera Rukoma, whose members have walked a remarkable journey of healing and reconciliation. Listening to their stories offered a deeper understanding of soul care in the context of grief, forgiveness, and restoration.

The team is now preparing to introduce Rwandan ministry leaders to soul care, attentive listening, and spiritual direction.
