"Rhodesian Ridgeback Kennels Union" is publik organization united more then 1000 RR-owners and breeders, real enthusiasts, whu are trying to keep and improve breed qualities, temperament and health. The high quality of Russian Rhodesian Ridgebacks was
marked by many top breed-judges and significant wins at some Specialties
and International Shows, European Dog Shows and World Dog Shows proved
this
quality. However many breeders realized that breeding only for show dogs or only
for working dogs without taking the good conformation, health and stable
temperament into consideration – the wrong and losing way for breed
development. In 2008 the breeders who wanted to keep and improve the
inherent qualities for the breed, who kept the principles accepted in
world Code of Ethics in breeding cooperated together in the Union for
consolidation their tasks, sharing their knowledge, experience and
results of their breeding. At that time “Aresvuma” and “Ridge's Star” kennels had been breeding for
many years and had great practical experience. While the young kennels
“Faira” and “Rayridge” only made their first steps along the difficult way
of breeding of this special breed. These kennels shared not only the common understanding of the breed prospects and breeding
directions. The most of them imported dogs bred by top foreign
breeders including some dogs from South Africa. Wishing to get only the
best dogs, new blood lines, trying to fix and improve the main breed
features and, as consequence, to show their breeding results at the
biggest dog Shows – that cooperates these kennels, the great
enthusiasts of the breed. The Internet Forum (http://forum.ridgedog.ru) was created in order that
all members could discuss any breed news and problems. The Union of the
breeders began its educational activities. Soon many new breeders who
supported the ideas and principles of the Union became the members of
the Union. These are Moscow kennels “Jelany Red” "Beausoul",
"Lobengula", “Zlato Rusi”, “Ryzhaya Mafia” the breeders from Samara “Ele Tori” and “Adgambas” from “Iz Dinastii Shangris” and from Ukraine “Amini Bingwa” - the Union came out to the
international level. The Union is not just an association of breeders who breed purebred
dogs - we strive to keep our breed, its properbreed temperament,
natural health and working abilities, to improve the quality of our
breeding pool. There are the most titled Rhodesian Ridgebacks of Russia in the Union. For today the Union has two World Winners, one Junior World Winner,
two European Winners, four European Junior Winners, two European
Veteran Winners, three World Junior Vice Winners, one European Vice
Winner, one European Junior Vice Winner, twenty three International
Champions, many Champions and Junior Champions of Russia, Belarus,
Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Estonia, Latvia,
Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Holland, Italy, Spain, San Marino,
Luxembourg, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria,
Romania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Gertsigovina, Serbia, Macedonia, Cyprus,
Argentina, Canada. We have imported Ridgebacks from the top kennels in South Africa,
Holland, Italy, France. Our stud dogs and brood bi***es have many
famous champions in their pedigrees. The breeders of our Union travel
to different countries for breeding to the best studs wishing to improve
Russian Rhodesian ridgeback stock. Rhodesian Ridgebacks of our breeding live on five continents and more
than in 30 countries. All our breeding stock pass health tests and
all our puppies are always controlled by a Club Veterinary. The Union of leading Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders is always opened for
new members who keep to our common aims and aspirations!
