Last Saturday, some of our members had the pleasure of discovering a fascinating exhibition at Elisabeta Palace, the residence of Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Crown, and her family.

The exhibition offered a wonderful glimpse into the history, traditions, and legacy of the Romanian Royal Family. From beautifully preserved historical photographs and official portraits to elegant furnishings, decorations, and personal memorabilia, every room reflected the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Palace. It was a rare opportunity to experience the atmosphere of this remarkable residence and learn more about its significance.

A heartfelt thank you to Diana Zotescu for organizing such a memorable visit to Elisabeta Palace.

Everything was beautifully arranged, and they truly enjoyed this inspiring day. It was both an enriching cultural experience and a delightful opportunity to share Romanian history with fellow members.

Thank you, dear readers, for coming to the last book club before holidays 🙏❤️

Today we discussed our 9th book, Still Alice by Lisa Genova. It is a great book that led to wonderful and profound discussions about Alice and her family, as well as about our own lives and how we can make the most of this beautiful life.

Have a wonderful summer break and a relaxing vacation. I look forward to seeing you all again in September 🙏❤️

IWA is not only about gathering, making friends and discovering Bucharest or other cultures.

IWA is very much involved in charity projects every year, since 30 years. Our Charity committee that regroups around 20 ladies for each monthly meeting is an important part of our community.

And Fundația pentru Educație, Științe și Arte is one of the associations that received an IWA grant this year to create a library for the school in Mogosani, Dambovita county, as well as an outdoor space for the kids.

On this magical day, people weave flower crowns, gather sânziene flowers, and honor ancient customs believed to bring love, health, and good fortune.

May the spirit of Sânziene fill our hearts with joy, hope, and the beauty of summer!

Today we are celebrating the Romania Blouse day and the ladies of IWA: International Women's Association of Bucharest wear it for our traditional event.

This morning, at Muzeul National al Satului "Dimitrie Gusti" , ladies from 12 different countries discovered the Romanian traditions, the signs on the Romanian blouse and enjoyed creating the Sânziene wreath under Crina's guidance.
