Totul a inceput in anul 2013, cu o prima catelusa a nimanui adoptata din spatele blocului de catre un cuplu de tineri inimosi. La acel moment, cei doi oameni frumosi mai aveau
déjà in apartamentul lor micut cu doua camere din cartierul Colentina inca 7 pisicute adoptate de pe strazi. In curand a aparut a doua catelusa fara stapan in spatele blocului. Nu i-a lasat inima si au luat-o si pe ea in apartamentul lor mic, cu sterilizare, vaccinare si toate cele necesare. Curand a inceput prigonirea cateilor fara stapan, iar casa lor a devenit din ce in ce mai mica pe masura ce numarul animalutelor aflate in nevoie crestea. Pentru ca acesti doi oameni cu suflet mare nu pot rabda sa vada un suflet in suferinta. Nu pot trece mai departe, nu se pot face ca nu vad. Apartamentul cu doua camere s-a umplut repede. A urmat un credit la banca pentru achizitionarea unui teren unde sa poata trai linistiti cateii. Incet-incet s-a construit si o casa pentru cei doi oameni. Acesta a fost inceputul. Asociatia Pufi adaposteste in prezent 46 de ingeri cu blanita (30 catei si 16 pisicute). In doi ani de activitate au sterilizat peste 60 de catei si au dat spre adoptie 25. Totul suportat financiar doar de catre cei doi oameni. Isi doresc sa poata face mult mai mult, dar resursele lor financiare sunt limitate. Se zbat luna de luna sa achite ratele la banca, sa acopere cheltuielile cu utilitatile, cu mancarea, vaccinarea si tratamentele cateilor si pisicilor. De asemenea, dorinta lor este sa se poata ocupa in paralel si de promovarea spre adoptie a cateilor, dar si de preluarea altor cazuri disperate pe care le vad zi de zi. Va multumim! PUFI Animal Protection Association is a nonprofit organization founded to help the stray animals in Romania. It all started in 2013 with the first dog picked up from the streets by a young couple with big hearts. At the time, these two beautiful people already had in their tiny one-bedroom apartment in the Colentina area of Bucharest seven cats adopted from the streets. Soon a new stray dog appeared in their area. They did not have the heart to leave her on the street and took her too in their small apartment. All their animals were sterilized, given treatment and vaccination and everything else necessary. Soon their home became increasingly smaller as the number of animals in need in Bucharest increased. Because these two people with such big hearts cannot endure to see a soul in distress. They cannot go on; they cannot pretend they haven’t seen the suffering of these animals. So the one-bedroom apartment filled quickly. They applied for a bank loan to purchase a piece of land close to Bucharest where dogs can live peacefully. Slowly they also built a house. That was the beginning. PUFI Animal Protection Association currently hosts 46 furry friends (30 dogs and 16 cats). In two years they have sterilized over 60 dogs and found loving homes for 25 dogs. All financially supported by the two of them. They wish they could do more, but their financial resources are limited. They struggle every month to pay the bank installments, to cover utilities, food, vaccination and treatment for their dogs and cats.
