🔬 New Research Alert: Development of a Culturally Competent Training Curriculum for Healthcare Professionals to Promote Vaccination and Tackle Vaccine Hesitancy
In our latest Delphi study, a team of experts from Cyprus, Greece, Spain, and Romania has worked together to design a culturally competent training curriculum aimed at addressing vaccine hesitancy. This project recognizes the importance of cultural factors in vaccination advocacy and equips healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to promote vaccination in diverse cultural contexts.

A two-round Delphi Study was conducted with 23 experts to identify key topics for the curriculum.
The curriculum model includes four modules based on the Papadopoulos Tilki and Taylor (PPT) cultural competence framework.
Focuses on intercultural communication, empowerment, and advocacy.
Targets healthcare professionals' ability to provide culturally appropriate care while advocating for vaccination.
By enhancing the cultural competence of healthcare professionals, this training curriculum aims to increase vaccination acceptance and improve community engagement, contributing to stronger, more resilient healthcare systems.
