Association One Rescue

Association One Rescue Association One Rescue is a warm and caring private animal rescue shelter at Cosoba, Giurgiu, Romania Our story starts in 2014.

Association One Rescue’s founder is Adina Vladut, veterinarian who also owns the Onevet clinic together with her husband. Dr. Adina Vladut has a long career as a veterinarian, and almost as long she has been helping homeless dogs and cats in Romania. The big step was taken forward in her rescue work in 2014. From the need to be able to help and shelter abandoned animals, she decided to rent an old and dilapidated farm and plot in the village of Cosoba at Giurgiu county. Cosoba is located relatively near Bucharest. The location is good and peaceful, it's at the edge of the village and middle of countryside Romania. This was the final selection criterion for Dr. Adina when she visited the farm for the first time. Shelter is built in a yard of 1.5 hectares. Dr. Adina started diligently building kennels and paddocks for the dogs on the farm so that she could help them more. Shelter is improving year by year up to this date and we have a plan to do so in upcoming years as well. Association One Rescue was created in the 3rd year of the shelter in 2017, to be able to support the operations and make the shelter official. Currently, the shelter is a safe haven for our 500 dogs and cats. Our vision is to have a better future for the animals in the shelter and also in the area around us. We hope to achieve less abandonment by keeping ongoing spay and neuter days month after month at the clinic space that is part of the shelter.

🐕 ADOPTION ALERT: Meet Nano! 🐾

Nano is a sweet, small boy looking for a very special forever home.

🗓 Age: Born April 2023

⚖️ Size: ~10 kg, 35–37 cm (a bit chubby and full of charm!)

📍 Location: Looking for an experienced home through EMBLA rescue

Nano arrived in June 2023 as a very shy pup, and he still carries that cautious heart. He doesn’t quite understand what petting is yet, but his curiosity always wins — he loves to follow people around in hopes of getting a delicious treat! 🦴

🐾 Personality & Buddies:

Nano gets along great with most dogs! Two of his best friends are giant Turkka and little hurricane Myrsky. However, Nano is a bit possessive when it comes to snacks and will gladly defend his tasty treasures, so he needs a family that knows how to handle food boundary management.

🏠 Ideal Home:

• Experienced dog owners who understand shy/fearful dogs

• A quiet, rural environment

• MUST have other friendly resident dogs to help him gain confidence

Give Nano the patient home he deserves! Contact us to adopt. ❤️

🐕 PENTRU ADOPȚIE: Cunoaște-l pe Nano! 🐾

• O casă unde există deja alți câini care să-i ofere încredere

Nano are nevoie de un om răbdător care să-i arate că lumea nu este înfricoșătoare! Scrie-ne dacă vrei să-i oferi o șansă. ❤️

Some cats are born with an untamed spirit, never seeking out human touch and asking only to exist peacefully in their own world. Pirate was one of those special souls.

He arrived at our shelter in 2023 after a kind woman had looked after him. He was already an older cat, weathered by life on the streets. He arrived with only one eye, and the remaining one was so badly infected that it ultimately had to be removed as well. Pirate was truly feral - an indoor life with a family simply wasn’t what he needed or wanted. Instead, he found his sanctuary with us. He had his own small yard, received regular meals and medical care, and was granted the dignity of simply being himself without any pressure to change.

Over time, his kidneys began to fail, a common burden for an aging cat. With attentive health monitoring and a tailored diet, he maintained a steady quality of life for a long stretch. Recently, however, his health started to decline noticeably. When he refused his diet food, we let him feast on whatever he enjoyed most, wanting every remaining day to feel comforting. But as his little body grew too tired to continue, we gently let him go.

Before he left, Pirate gave us an unforgettable gift: during his final weeks, he allowed us to gently stroke and pet him. For a fiercely independent, feral cat, accepting that gentle touch, perhaps for the very first time in his life, was a quiet miracle of trust.

Run free, sweet Pirate. You lived on your own terms, you were respected, and you will never be forgotten.

Forever in our hearts. 🐾🌈✨

Am iesit in strada alaturi de oameni simpli, asociatii, televiziune.

Fii schimbarea!

Mulțumim tuturor oamenilor frumoși care schimba lumea in mai bine!
