SCI Middle East extends its sincere appreciation to Safari Times newspaper for highlighting this important meeting.

Sheikh Abdulla Al Thani, President of SCI Middle East, and Secretary General Hisham Ashour met with the Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to the State of Qatar, in the presence of senior Tanzanian officials.

The meeting underscored the critical role of sustainable hunting in advancing conservation efforts, strengthening wildlife management, and supporting community development initiatives. Discussions emphasized the importance of responsible and ethical practices that safeguard biodiversity while contributing to local economic growth.

Both sides also explored opportunities for enhanced cooperation in the near future, reaffirming their shared commitment to conservation and the sustainable use of natural resources.

The Hunter Behind the 2025 Main Donation

SCI Middle East is proud to present the hunter Thomas L. who placed the highest bid and won the Main Donation Auction 2025.

As part of the ongoing Doha Summit, Sheikh Abdulla Al Thani, President of SCI Middle East, held a distinguished meeting with H.E. Habibu Awesi Mohamed, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to the State of Qatar, and H.E. Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, former President of the United Republic of Tanzania and current Chairperson of the Global Partnership for Education.
The discussion focused on the vital role of regulated hunting in conservation, the strengthening of existing partnerships, and the exploration of new avenues for collaboration between SCI Middle East and the Government of Tanzania. Emphasis was placed on sustainable wildlife management, biodiversity protection, and community driven development initiatives that support both conservation and local livelihoods ensuring that natural heritage is preserved for future generations.
Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to longterm cooperation that advances environmental stewardship, empowers communities, and creates meaningful opportunities for future collaboration.
