It was formerly named as “TRISKELION INTERNATIONAL STATE OF QATAR” then in 2007 all together with the ratification of the TRISKELION STATE OF QATAR Constitution and By- Laws the word “International” was omitted (please refer to TSOQ CBL). The council was founded with five (5) members of TAU GAMMA PHI and the one (1) and only member of TAU GAMMA SIGMA, Sis. Rowena “Weng” Alwesa (Sur Polytechnic Co
lleges Chapter 1992) , wife of Bro. Eduardo “Ed” Soltes, one of the Founding Brothers of TSOQ. From the beginning the council was in “Confraternity” structure since the strength of TAU GAMMA SIGMA was very minimal. In 2004, Sis. Tess Yap from San Sebastian College Chapter and in 2005, Sis. Muega from University of the East, Manila had joined the council and dynamically participated in all its meetings, activities and projects. Since then, one by one of the members of TAU GAMMA SIGMA had come out and affiliated in TRISKELION STATE OF QATAR and voluntarily devote and commit themselves to strengthen more the TRISKELIONS’ GRAND SORORITY in search for other members from within and become more proactive in the council’s endeavors. In 2009, the members of TAU GAMMA SIGMA had proclaimed its “Independency” to be more identified in the Filipino Community. TSOQ-TGS had its first “Election of Officers” in February 26, 2010 in Hamad Staff Swimming Facilities in Al Khorr. TSOQ-TGS had its first “Induction of Officers” in March 12, 2010 in Cocina Filipina, Bin Mahmoud. On that day onwards, members of TAU GAMMA SIGMA and its officers are actively involving themselves in the council’s mission and undertakings together with the members of TSOQ-TAU GAMMA PHI. TSOQ TAU GAMMA SIGMA has a harmonious relationship with TSOQ TAU GAMMA PHI. Both co-exist in uplifting the name of our beloved sorority and fraternity by organizing “socio-civic activities” from inside and outside of our sisterhood/brotherhood, partaking in Filipino Community and Organizations under the Philippine Embassy projects and others.
