💫 A truly memorable moment during Lady Sheila Marie Cantos, Chapter Auditor's short trip to Paris, France, accompanied by her son, Sir Walther Cantos. Lady Sheila had the distinct honor of meeting Lady Lina Brosas, the beloved Grand Matriarch and Founder of Las Damas de Rizal International, together with her ever-dependable husband, Sir Rudy Brosas, on 22 May 2026. They visited the Place José Rizal area—a site of deep significance to our organization, which promotes and studies the life, teachings, and ideals of Dr. José Rizal.

It is always a wonderful opportunity to spend time with our dearest Founder, whose vision and unwavering guidance continue to inspire the growth of Las Damas de Rizal worldwide. The LasDamas DeRizal Doha Chapter will forever be grateful for the beautiful sisterhood we have found in this organization and for the steadfast support of Lady Lina in all our initiatives and activities, despite the distance. These meaningful encounters bridge hearts and missions—no matter where we are in the world.

📢 NOMINATION IS NOW OPEN! Ladies of LasDamas DeRizal Doha Chapter, it's time to step up and be counted! The Nomination Period for our historic 1st Chapter Election officially starts today, 17 May 2026.

Do you know a Lady who embodies Rizal's legacy of compassion and integrity? Or are you ready to offer your own service? Now is the time to nominate.

May we choose leaders who can focus and commit their time to the organization — not because it is convenient, but because they believe in the cause.

We need leaders who walk our very core mission: To study, live, and propagate the life, ideals, and teachings of Dr. José Rizal.

This is not merely a position. It is a pledge of service, a commitment of time, and a labor of love for our organization and the legacy we uphold.

💫The newly constituted Election Tribunal (ET) of the LasDamas DeRizal Doha Chapter convened for its first meeting on 14 May 2026 at Riviera Rayhaan by Rotana to prepare for the upcoming Chapter Election on 1 June 2026.

Chaired by the Chapter President Lady Dr Anne. Binondo, who will serve as the ET Chairwoman, the Tribunal thoroughly discussed the Election Rules & Guidelines (issued 13 May 2026) and clarified the specific roles and responsibilities of each ET member in accordance with Article II of the Rules.

The ET is composed of the following dedicated ladies:
• Lady Anne Binondo – Chairwoman
• Lady Victoria M. Bedon – Member
• Lady Theresa J. Ocampo – Member
• Lady Gem D. Taburdan – Member
• Lady Amina H. Turujuan – Member

During the meeting, the Tribunal organized its internal committees: Nomination, Canvassing, and Legal, ensuring that every aspect of the electoral process — from nomination to proclamation — is guided by fairness, transparency, and order.

Furthermore, all five ET members affirmed their acceptance of the appointment by signing the Certificate of Acceptance and Oath of ET Member. By this oath, they committed to:
• Perform their duties with impartiality, honesty, and integrity
• Uphold the LDR International By-Laws, Chapter By-Laws, and Election Rules
• Ensure a free, fair, orderly, and transparent election
• Protect the secrecy of the ballot
• Resolve disputes promptly and justly
• Remain neutral and not seek any elective position
• Safeguard the integrity and reputation of Las Damas de Rizal Doha Chapter
• Be guided by the principles of Dr. José Rizal: truth, justice, honor, and selfless service

The Election Tribunal calls upon all members in Good Standing to actively participate in this historic democratic process – to nominate, be nominated, and vote for the next set of officers who will lead the Chapter with compassion, integrity, and the passion to study, live, and propagate the life and ideals of Dr. José Rizal.

Ahead of the Tribunal's convening, the Election Rules & Guidelines governing the 1st Chapter Election of the Las Damas de Rizal Doha Chapter were formally approved and promulgated on 13 May 2026 by:
• Lady Lina Brosas – Grand Matriarch & Founder, Las Damas de Rizal International
• Lady Estella Ruppert – President, Las Damas de Rizal International
• Lady Dr Anne Binondo - Chapter Premier (President)
• Lady Victoria Bedon - Election Rules & Guidelines Committee Head

The Rules took effect immediately and shall ensure a free, fair, and transparent electoral process in accordance with the LDR Amended International By-Laws (2026) and the LDR Doha Chapter Constitution & By-Laws.
