Can you take too many photos?

This year I’m trying o film more! More of the children, more of the little moments in the day because you don’t realise it but that’s are the parts you with you could look back on. The smile, that quiet moment in your living room, that’s laugh that teenage frown.

It started with little model chicks… 🐣
Then came our first real chick…
And now we’ve hatched our own
Jacob has learned so much through this — patience, care, responsibility, and how life begins. Watching his little dreams come to life has been the sweetest part ❤️
So much joy, so many cuddles, and honestly… how can something so tiny be this cute?!

Spring feels like such a beautiful blessing
My heart is so full… soaking in the sunsets, the sound of the kids playing outside, baby chicks growing, the mulberry tree and the golden fig tree coming back to life.

After so much hard work, strimming, clearing the land and brush, cutting back the brambles. I’m finally starting to feel and enjoy this new space we’ve worked so hard to create over the winter.
It’s slow, it’s real, and it’s ours

A swing, a wide sky, and a childhood growing wild and free. One day the swing will be empty and the little boy who once flew between these trees will be off chasing his own horizon. But today he is still here, somewhere between earth and sky, and these are the moments I wish I could bottle. Raising boys is learning to hold on and let go at the same time, my heart swinging out there with him.

As we move further up the land and into a new chapter, my son soon turning 16 , I’m feeling a lot.
Taking apart the place where so much life happened is harder than I expected. Not because of the wood or the walls, but because of the memories that lived there.
Today I told myself It’s okay to cry over it.
Tears like this are a way of honouring what mattered.
When I look at that field, I see a little boy covered in dirt, doing something wild, completely absorbed in exploring the world. No schedules, no pressure, just freedom and curiosity and space to be a child.
That’s the very essence of childhood.
He had freedom.
He had space.
He had time.
Slow mornings. Wild adventures. A childhood lived outside.
The field may change.
The buildings may come down.
But that boy running through the grass, covered in dirt and laughter, will always be part of our story.
And as one chapter quietly closes, I’m realising how lucky we were to live it.

The trees are bursting into blossom and it’s the perfect reminder that science is everywhere 🌸
