Lessons from the clash between the presidency and the establishment of the executive organ of government in our country.
Sometimes, a single moment can teach a whole generation what leadership, discipline, and restraint really mean.
When Minister Nyesom Wike clashed with Navy officer AM Yerima on that Abuja land site, most people only saw a shouting match.
But look deeper there’s a powerful message in that scene.
✅Power is loud while discipline is calm.
While one side raised their voice, the other raised their standard. Real strength isn’t in shouting it’s in staying composed when provoked.
✅Uniforms don’t define integrity actions do.
That officer stood his ground respectfully. He didn’t abuse his uniform, he didn’t disrespect authority he simply represented what the Navy stands for: Order and obedience to duty.
✅Leadership isn’t about fear, it’s about fairness. Minister Nyesom Wike’s passion shows how our leaders often mistake authority for control. True leadership listens, questions, and corrects without breaking respect.
✅Nigeria doesn’t need more noise we need more character. Every profession, every citizen, has a role to play in building a country where people can disagree without dishonor.
Wake up!!! Let the standard be raised in confronting the abuse of government powers and offices.
