Walls, borders, checkpoints, permits, searches, delays, roads that cannot be taken, places people are prevented from reaching.
For Palestinians, movement is not a simple question of distance. It is shaped by a system of occupation that controls where people can go, how long it takes, who is allowed through, who is stopped, and what parts of life become impossible along the way.
Don’t Skip Humanity joins Teatro do Vestido at CCB for two events that look at these realities through performance, testimony and conversation.
🎭 Exercício de Montagem was created from journeys to Palestine, bringing together images, sounds, memories and testimonies collected along the way. A collective creation by Teatro do Vestido with Palestinian artist Tarab, the performance asks what remains after witnessing — and what responsibility comes with carrying those stories back.
🗣️ On 23 June, "Para Além das Fronteiras e Postos de Controlo” brings Palestinian voices and perspectives into conversation around borders, movement, identity, and everyday life under occupation.
These are not abstract political questions. They are daily conditions imposed on people’s bodies, families, work, education, memory and future.
