Trained first aiders. Real session. The volunteers and staff who show up every day for the animals in our network.

Day one is done. Four more to go.

If you could learn something tomorrow, what would it be?

✨ A New Start for Hope ✨

Hope’s journey is one we will never forget… and one that truly lives up to her name 💛

Hope came into our care from after suffering a devastating accident. She had been hit by a car, leaving her without the use of her back legs and requiring the removal of one of her eyes. Despite everything she had endured, Hope never lost her gentle spirit or her will to keep going.

This was a particularly difficult case. Dogs with complex medical needs like Hope often face incredibly slim chances of adoption. They require patience, understanding, and a very special kind of home. But thanks to the unwavering dedication of her foster carers, who gave her the love, stability, and care she needed to heal and trust again, Hope was given that chance.

And then… everything changed.

With the support and facilitation of Hope found her forever home 🏡
A kind-hearted woman named Hannah saw Hope not for her challenges, but for her strength, her resilience, and her capacity to love. And she said yes.

Today, Hope is exactly where she was always meant to be — safe, loved, and finally home ❤️

This is why we do what we do. Because every dog, no matter how complex their needs, deserves a chance at happiness.

Thank you to everyone involved in Hope’s journey — from her rescuers, to her foster carers, to Miracles Mission, and of course to Hannah for opening her heart and home.

A new chapter begins… and it’s full of hope 🌟

Meet Dillon 🐕
Dillon is a gorgeous, soft old man who’s like cuddling a big teddy bear with wonderful thick fur. This gentle senior walks confidently on leash and loves going out exploring; he’s still got plenty of enthusiasm for his daily adventures. 🐾

What makes Dillon special is his love for the outdoors. He prefers sitting outside and always takes his blanket out of his bed to lie on, it’s one of his endearing quirks. He loves being brushed and is always ready for a walk, showing that age hasn’t dimmed his spirit. ❤️

Dillon is beautifully social with other dogs. In his time at the shelter, he’s lived happily with both male and female dogs and currently shares his kennel with Henri. When kennel mates have been adopted, he’s been easy to match with new companions, showing his adaptable, easy-going nature. 🐶

He’s in good health for his age, though he has some arthritis in his hips and takes monthly pain relief with daily joint supplements to keep him comfortable. His teeth are worn, but don’t stop him from enjoying life. 💌

Dillon‘s Story 📖
Dillon arrived at the shelter in July 2022 as a stray. He hadn’t been on the street long and was friendly, clearly used to being with people, most likely just let go because of his age. He is currently staying at our partner shelter

Could you be the one to give Dillon the comfortable home where he can enjoy his golden years with his blanket, garden time, and people who cherish him?

Two puppies were left behind from this litter…

Ludwig was one of them.

He came from a litter of 10 puppies that volunteers hand-raised at the shelter. One by one, his siblings found loving homes… until only Ludwig and his brother were still waiting.

But Ludwig’s story has the ending every rescue dog deserves. 🧡

He has now been adopted and is settling into his forever home, building strong bonds with his family and even gaining a new furry best friend.

Seeing dogs like Ludwig finally safe, loved, and happy is why rescue matters so much.

Every adoption changes a life — and opens space for another animal in need.

🐾 Follow us for more rescue stories and animals still waiting for their forever homes.

👇 Comment 🧡 to celebrate Ludwig’s happy ending!

They’re not “problem dogs.”
They’re victims of circumstance.

The biggest barrier to adoption isn’t behaviour.
It’s misinformation.

If you believe rescue dogs deserve better, comment ❤️
If you’ve adopted, tell us what surprised you most 👇

Let’s change the narrative.
