ES Associacao Sustentavel Solidaria

ES ASSOCIAÇÃO - ENERGIA SUSTENTÁVEL is a not for profit Association founded in 2011, located in Cadaval, where we developed two Grundtvig projects (2012 Workshop about tile art and 2012-2014 Learning Partnership about sustainable lifestyle) and started a program around sustainability and food sovereignty, attended by approximately 500 people in 3 years. Our interests are Permaculture/Natural ecosystems, Food Sovereignty, Intentional Communities, Seed Banks, Heritage, Arts&Crafts, Self-sustainability and Sustainable Tourism (Family Inn and Local Heritage), as well as Community Media and European Citizenship. Under EU frame we started in 2011 with 2 Grundtvig programs (Workshop and Learning Partnership) and in 2013-2014 we approved one Youth Mobility with 4 partners, took part in 2 Youth exchanges and 2 Training courses, involving over 20 young people. Our aim is to empower our community, both by supporting new cultural and social entrepreneurs and also by recovering the potential of the land and protecting our natural sites, contributing to local development, human and social, along with partner organizations (private, civic and social) and public entities. Youth participation is a key objective, in a region facing lack of initiatives and platforms for youth intervention and dialogue. It is our mission to overcome this gap, offering support to those who want to be the change makers.
