What if the most important skill in the age of AI is not knowing how to use it, but knowing when to question it?
We scroll, read, watch, share and create every day. But how often do we stop to ask: Is this true? Who created it? Why am I seeing it? What might be missing? Can I trust it?
With generative AI becoming part of the platforms where we communicate, build identities and form opinions, critical thinking matters more than ever.
That’s where CTRL + THINK begins. From 12 to 15 October, Group Leaders and participants will meet in Aveiro for the Advance Planning Visit (APV), where we’ll prepare the exchange together, discuss participants’ needs, explore the programme and make sure young people are actively involved in shaping what will happen in November.
Then, from 15 to 21 November, young people from different European countries will meet in Aveiro for an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange focused on strengthening our ability to question, verify and interpret the information we encounter every day, especially when the line between human and AI-generated content is increasingly difficult to see.
Through non-formal education, experimentation, group challenges, debate and collaborative creation, we’ll explore our relationship with AI and develop practical tools and content created by young people themselves.
Because this project isn’t about rejecting AI. And it isn’t about accepting everything it gives us either. It’s about reclaiming something deeply human: the ability to pause, question, reflect and make up our own minds.
How do we stay critical, curious and human in a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence?
