Established on the 14th January 2013, The Retaj Foundation of Palestinian Women is a social and cultural centre that works in Asira al-Qiblya, a small village near Nablus. A truly grassroots organisation, it strives to provide many activities and platforms for expression within the community for women and children. These workshops include classes and lectures on Womens Rights, Healthcare, Psychot
herapy, Music, English Lessons and Craft work. The aim is to politically and emotionally empower marginalised members of a rural community which is under violent daily attacks from Illegal Israeli Settlers in the nearby village Yitzhar. Retaj is bottom up social initiative which is countering the problems of life in an under-resourced and under-represented area in the West Bank. Run by female volunteers and disconnected from the streams of revenue of more prestigious 'Aid' projects it relies on donations to maintain its vital work in the community. Please help to maintain and support this project by giving what you can and helping to ensure there is a secure and open forum for self empowerment and education in Asira Al-Qiblya.
