Our Story

The An Najah Debate Society (NNUDS) was established at the beginning of 2017 at An-Najah National University and is one of the only competitive debate programs in Palestine in both English and Arabic. Our team is composed of approximately 40 core debate members who are undergraduate and recent graduates of An-Najah National University. These team members participate in weekly trainings and activities on campus as well as regular tournaments nationally and sometimes internationally.

NNUDS aims to increase access to quality debate education and provides regular, free debate trainings throughout the year for the An Najah and Nablus community in addition to virtual introductory courses to students in the Middle East. Since its founding in 2017, over 400 university students and recent graduates have been trained in debate through NNUDS.
