This is Al Mawasi camp, where thousands of displaced Palestinians live in tents. It is where Draw a Smile distributes food, clothing and water to families in need. Many families will never be able to return to their homes because their homes have been bombed and totally destroyed. Everyone has been affected by the losses of friends and family members. This time it will be food parcels during Ramadan, so that when people break their fast, they have something to eat 🙏 Conditions continue to be extremely challenging for displaced people living at Mawasi camp. ❤️🖤🤍💚✌️🤞✊️🙏🏾Peace be upon you, my dear friends. As you know, the blessed month of Ramadan is just around the corner. There's only a week left until the month of fasting. Remember that you have brothers and sisters in Gaza who are living in tents without the most basic necessities. We are living a primitive life in every aspect. It's a life of hardship, exhaustion, and endless suffering. During this month, people need to buy food for their families and young children, and they need your support. 20 British pounds can buy a vegetable parcel for every family in the displacement camps. Just imagine yourself and your family living in these tents and enduring this suffering. Just imagining it will overwhelm you. What about those living in these dire and immense circumstances in Gaza? A film made to show the egg initiative yesterday 12.01.2026. This is an amazing achievement and the film shows the eggs being distributed to 90 families by the Draw a Smile team and also the conditions that displaced families live in. Happy 2026 from the Draw a Smile team We wish you all health and happiness.

On 21st December 2025, our team in Gaza distributed warm, dry clothes to children at the camp and provided warm clothes to children who desperately need them. THANK YOU for making this possible.

Draw a Smile operates in the Khan Younis area of Gaza, where our founder Ibrahim and his family live with many other displaced Palestinians. Life for displaced people in the camp is extremely hard and the winter weather brings added challenges. Heavy rain and cold adds to an existence that is already difficult and makes it almost impossible. Many of the tents of displaced people in the Khan Yunis area are flooded by rainwater and sea water.

The resilience of the Palestinian people is outstanding. The uncertainty and chaos of displacement is traumatic and this can particularly affect children who are caught up in the horrors of war and are unable to develop in a safe environment. Draw a Smile strives to bring happiness and fun to children whenever possible. During these colder months we are continuing our Warm Winter for Gaza Appeal and we would like to facilitate another initiative as soon as possible to provide comfort and warmth to children at the camp.

Our founder Ibrahim A Qudeih works tirelessly to source items that the children need the most. Help is needed more than ever before now with the harsh winter weather and also, because since January 1st so many NGOs and agencies have been banned from entering the territory, which we truly have no words for.

No donation is too small. We send 100% of your donations to Gaza as any costs are covered by our UK team, so every penny counts. If you are able to help by organising an event, please do get in touch. Recently we received a donation from people who had been on a winter solstice walk for mental health. It’s great when good things happen whilst raising the donations too! We really appreciate all your support, whether it be by donating, sharing on social media, talking about Draw a Smile or raising money in another way.
