من جنين إلى العالم: مسرح الحرية يحيي «الفلسطينيون هم عيناك» بأصوات كتّاب من غزة

أحيا مسرح الحرية في جنين، مساء 15 تشرين الأول 2026، الحملة المسرحية العالمية «الفلسطينيون هم عيناك» التي أطلقتها مجموعة عنقاء المسرحية ضمن أمسية أدائية حملت نصوص وأصوات أربعة كتّاب فلسطينيين من غزة إلى الخشبة.
جمعت الأمسية بين القراءة المسرحية والصوت والصورة والحركة، في صيغة فنية أعادت وصل النصوص بأصحابها وبالسياق الإنساني والفني الذي خرجت منه.
أخرج القراءات مؤمن السعدي، وشارك في الأداء محمد السعدي، أحمد السبتي، لجين نورسي، بيسان صادق، سوزان وصفي، ونقاء سمور، إلى جانب عازفة التشيلو ياقوت عساف، وبالشراكة مع سيرك فلسطين والتعاون مع جمعية الكمنجاتي الموسيقية.
وتتمحور الحملة حول ستة نصوص أصلية كتبها في غزة خلال عامي 2024 و2025 كل من إبراهيم الحلو، دلال السويركي، فاطمة يوسف، وآلاء صبيح، لتنتقل كلماتهم عبر القراءة والأداء إلى مسارح وفضاءات ثقافية في مختلف أنحاء العالم.
وتحمل المبادرة أيضًا ذكرى الفنان الفلسطيني إبراهيم صيدم، الذي ارتبطت تجربته الفنية بمجموعة عنقاء، وكان من المفترض أن يبدأ في 15 تشرين الأول 2023 رحلة فنية إلى أوروبا، قبل أن يُقتل في غزة في اليوم نفسه.
بالنسبة إلى مسرح الحرية، فإن المقاومة الثقافية ليست فعل كراهية أو إقصاء، بل فعل لحماية الذاكرة واللغة والهوية والحق في التعبير، ورفض اختفاء الحكاية الفلسطينية أو إسكاتها.
حين لا يستطيع الفنانون الفلسطينيون عبور الحدود، تستطيع كلماتهم أن تفعل.

From Jenin to the world: The Freedom Theatre brings the voices of Gaza’s writers to the stage in Palestinians Are Your Eyes

On 15 October 2026, The Freedom Theatre in Jenin joined the global theatre action Palestinians Are Your Eyes, initiated by Anqa, with a performance evening bringing the texts and voices of four Palestinian writers from Gaza onto the stage.
Blending theatrical reading, sound, image and movement, the evening created an artistic space that reconnected the texts with their writers and with the human and artistic realities from which they emerged.
The readings were directed by Momen Al-Sadi and performed by Mohammad Al-Sadi, Ahmad Al-Sabti, Lujain Noursi, Besan Sadeq, Suzan Wasfi and Naqaa Sammour, alongside cellist Yaqout Assaf. The event was presented in partnership with The Palestinian Circus and in collaboration with Al-Kamandjâti Association.
At the heart of the campaign are six original texts written in Gaza in 2024 and 2025 by Ibrahim Alhelou, Dalal Elswerky, Fatma Yousef and Ala’a Sbaih, created so that their words could travel across borders through reading and performance, reaching theatres and cultural spaces around the world.
The action also honours the memory of Palestinian artist Ibrahim Saidam, whose artistic journey was connected to Anqa and who was due to begin a journey to Europe on 15 October 2023, before he was killed in Gaza that same day.
For The Freedom Theatre, cultural resistance is not an act of hatred or exclusion. It is an act of protecting memory, language, identity and the right to speak in one’s own voice, and of refusing the disappearance or silencing of the Palestinian story.
When Palestinian artists cannot cross borders, their words can.

من النص إلى الخيط… تبدأ الحكايا بالتشكّل.

يطلق مسرح الحرية وفريق ترابط في غزة مشروع «حكاية وحياكة – جذوة من نار»، وهو مشروع فني متعدد التخصصات مستوحى من رواية «جذوة من نار» للكاتب محمود البسيوني.

يجمع المشروع بين الأدب، والفن التشكيلي، والتطريز الفلسطيني، وصناعة الدمى، والخط العربي، ليعيد بناء مشاهد الرواية وذاكرتها وشخصياتها بلغة بصرية ومادية جديدة.

يقود فريق ترابط التنفيذ في غزة بإشراف محمود البسيوني والتنسيق الفني مع ألفت لقمان، وبمشاركة فنانين وممارسين ثقافيين من تخصصات مختلفة.

يمتد العمل خلال تشرين الأول وتشرين الثاني، تليه مرحلة الإعداد والتركيب في كانون الأول، على أن يقام المعرض في جاليري جمال الثقافي في غزة بين ١٥ و٢٤ كانون الأول ٢٠٢٦.

في زمن بالغ القسوة، يفتح المشروع مساحة للفنانين كي يواصلوا العمل، والتجريب، وصناعة المعنى.

From text to thread, the stories begins to take shape.

The Freedom Theatre and Tarabut launch Hikaya wa Hiyaka (Story & Stitch): An Ember from the Fire in Gaza, a multidisciplinary art project inspired by Mahmoud Al-Basiony’s novel An Ember from the Fire.

Bringing together literature, visual art, Palestinian embroidery, puppetry and Arabic calligraphy, the project reimagines the novel’s scenes, memories and characters through a new visual and material language.

Led in Gaza by Tarabut, under the supervision of ‏Mahmoud Al-Basiony and with artistic coordination by Olfat Loqman, the project brings together artists and cultural practitioners across disciplines.

Production continues through October and November, followed by final preparation and installation in December. The exhibition is planned for 15–24 December 2026 at Jamal Cultural Gallery in Gaza.

At a time of immense difficulty, the project creates space for artists to keep working, experimenting and making meaning.

🎬 الطنطورة

واصل نادي السينما برنامجه في مسرح الحرية بعرض الفيلم الوثائقي «الطنطورة» (٢٠٢٢) للمخرج ألون شفارتس.

من خلال شهادات ومواد أرشيفية مرتبطة بأحداث عام ١٩٤٨، يفتح الفيلم أسئلة حول الذاكرة، الشهادة، الصمت، ومن يملك حق كتابة التاريخ.

أعقب العرض حوار مع البروفيسور أيمن يوسف، أستاذ العلوم السياسية في الجامعة العربية الأمريكية، أدارَه عضو نادي السينما أحمد بهنيني، حول العلاقة بين الماضي والحاضر ودور السينما الوثائقية في إعادة فتح الأسئلة المؤجلة.

العرض الثالث. مساحة أخرى للحوار.

فالسينما هنا ليست شاشة فقط، بل مساحة للقاء.

🎬 TANTURA

TFT CINE-CLUB continued its programme at The Freedom Theatre with Tantura (2022), directed by Alon Schwarz.

Drawing on testimony and archival material around the events of 1948, the film raises questions of memory, silence, testimony, and who gets to write history.

The screening was followed by a conversation with Professor Ayman Yousef, Professor of Political Science at Arab American University, moderated by Cine-Club member Ahmad Bhanini, exploring the relationship between past and present and the role of documentary cinema in reopening difficult histories.

Our third screening. Another space for dialogue.

Yes Theatre – Hebron, Palestine joins the global theatre action Palestinians Are Your Eyes with an evening of theatrical readings in Halhul, carrying words written in Gaza to Palestinian audiences as part of an international action connecting theatres, universities and cultural spaces around the world.

On 15 October 2026, stages come together around texts by four writers from Gaza: Ibrahim Alhelou, Dalal Elswerky, Fatma Yousef and Ala’a Sbaih.

Initiated by Anqa, the project honours Palestinian artist Ibrahim Saidam, killed in Gaza on 15 October 2023.

Theatrical Readings of Texts by Writers from Gaza

ASHTAR Theatre – Birzeit, Palestine joins the global theatre action Palestinians Are Your Eyes, in collaboration with The Freedom Theatre, through a special video contribution carrying words from Gaza across borders.

ASHTAR presents two monologues from the project, The First Lesson and A Pillar in Concrete, performed by Sasha Al-Asbah and Noursen Ziad, and directed by Emile Saba.

The contribution forms part of a global action on 15 October 2026, bringing together theatres, universities and cultural spaces around the world around texts by four writers from Gaza: Ibrahim Alhelou, Dalal Elswerky, Fatma Yousef and Ala’a Sbaih.

من أجواء ورشة «مختبر مسرح الأدوات» في نابلس، بإشراف الفنان جريس أبو جابر، حيث اجتمع الفنانون والفنانات في مساحة للتجريب واستكشاف إمكانات تحويل الأدوات اليومية إلى عناصر للتعبير المسرحي. 🎭

بتنظيم مسرح دفا – براغ، بالشراكة مع مسرح الحرية، وبالتعاون مع مسرح رسائل، واستضافة جمعية زهرة الشمال للثقافة والفنون، وبدعم من مؤسسة عبد المحسن القطّان ضمن منحة «حراكات» 2026.

The New Arab features our production Return to Palestine, directed by Micaela Miranda. Journalist Shahla Omar traces the play’s roots in real stories gathered through the Freedom Bus and its journey bringing Palestinian experiences and voices to international audiences.

The feature also highlights The Freedom Theatre’s continuing work despite the Israeli military’s seizure of our premises in Jenin refugee camp and the displacement of our community. We continue to create spaces for art and connection, and to carry our stories to the world.
