Gaza’s port, once a vital hub for local fishermen and a familiar gathering place for residents, has been heavily damaged after three years of bombardment.

Thousands of displaced Palestinian families are now sheltering in tents across the port area and its surrounding coastline.

SETTLERS BLOCK PALESTINIAN OLIVE HARVEST

Israeli settlers are attacking Palestinian residents in the village of Al-Nazlat Al-Sharqiyah, north of Tulkarm, forcing them off their land, stealing their olive harvest, and preventing them from harvesting their olives.

In a separate incident, settlers stormed farmers’ lands around the village of Barqa, east of Ramallah, and prevented them from harvesting their olives.

🇵🇸 The olive harvest is a vital source of livelihood and a deep-rooted part of Palestinian heritage.

مستوطنون يمنعون الفلسطينيين من جني الزيتون

يهاجم مستوطنون إسرائيليون سكان قرية النزلة الشرقية، شمال طولكرم، ويجبرونهم على مغادرة أراضيهم، ويسرقون محصول الزيتون، ويمنعونهم من جني ثمار زيتونهم.

وفي حادثة منفصلة، اقتحم مستوطنون أراضي المزارعين في محيط قرية برقا، شرق رام الله، ومنعوهم من جني الزيتون.

🇵🇸 يُشكّل موسم قطاف الزيتون مصدر رزق أساسيًا للفلسطينيين، وجزءًا راسخًا من تراثهم وهويتهم.

Today is 8th October.

Yesterday, we rightly remembered the victims of Hamas's attack on 7th October 2023.

But why is there no day to commemorate the innocent 74,000 Palestinians in Gaza that have been murdered since?

Or the thousands of innocent Palestinians who were murdered before 7th October?

Where are the statements from world leaders, the candle-lit vigils and days of remembrance for them?

The truth is that not all lives are treated as equal.

And until they are, I do not intend to stop talking about the genocide in Gaza.
