Palestine Save the Children Foundation was established in l999 as a Palestinian, national, non-governmental organization which seeks to promote development that is sustainable, integrated and responsive to community needs. This includes environmental health, water and sanitation, institutional development, early childhood development and improving the health conditions of physically handicapped pe
ople. PSCF is a non-profit organization engaged in training, technical assistance, advocacy, litigation, awareness raising and education all over the Gaza Strip. So far, PSCF has implemented several projects that generally aim to empower local care and civil society groups, to expand the scope of human rights protection for women and children and youth, and to promote broad participation in building more effective human rights standards and procedures. As a catalyst and innovator, PSCF seeks to promote this approach among local non-governmental and governmental development agencies. Since its establishment, PSCF's main office is located in Gaza City. This offices serves as the starting and meeting point of all employees as well as being the management centre. However, due to having several projects in the middle area, PSCF has recently established a branch in the middle area located at Al Maghazi Activity. Organizational Strategic objectives:
•Offer an alternative vision of women in the Palestinian Society as active, creative, and capable partners in the process of social change and development.
•Provide the necessary data and information for the women movement to plan strategies, lobby for gender equality in Gaza, and have a data base on women issues.
•Improve the economic, social, health and educational status of vulnerable groups in Palestinian society provided that it does not contradict strategies and goals of the related Ministries.
•Empower the women and youth living in Gaza Strip to actively participate in the social, political and economical life.
•Conduct studies and field practical or theoretical researches that aim at developing the Palestinian society and raising awareness among its women, youth and marginalized groups.
•Promote networking, cooperation and coordination between the related Ministries, national and international women bodies and development organizations in order to foster general development and prosperity.
