Flour is now a matter of survival for Gazans, with some reporting that they can only afford one meal a day for their families.
At the beginning of December the price of a 25kg bag of flour in Al-Maghazi reached US$240
thanks to our generous individual donors and the team behind the , on December 3rd, we were able to purchase a 25kg bag of flour and distribute 2.5kg’s to 10 families in desperate need
Although important and impactful to those whose hunger it relieved, this action helped just 10 families and will only last a short time.
and so, in response to such great need, we are launching a FLOUR PROVISION PROJECT
Our aim is to begin by purchasing x10 25kg bags and distributing this basic lifeline to those in most need.
BEACON can secure a 5% discount when purchasing x10 bags - saving US$120 - and we are determined, despite facing recent emergency evacuation orders to ensure our community and the displaced of Al-Maghazi camp can access this most basic staple of life and that Gaza's children don't go to sleep with an empty belly

and we need regular donors and sponsors so that we are able to continue to provide flour to those in need on a regular basis
