We came to visit Mesafer Yatta today, alongside French journalists, to witness the home demolitions in Jinva, a community almost completely wiped out by Israel.
But as we approached - Israeli troops stopped us and didn’t let us in.
It’s the same policy Israel is using in Gaza - not allowing journalists to document its crimes.
We encourage everyone to come and witness themselves, to stand in solidarity with the courageous communities of Mesafer Yatta - against ethnic cleansing, evictions and oppression.

Today, Israeli settlers and soldiers stopped Palestinians from harvesting their olive groves in Shaab Al Butum in Mesafer Yata.
All across the West Bank Israel is preventing olive harvests, which are the backbone of the Palestinian economy.

It has never been so clear that settlers control the Army - through government and on the ground.

Today marks the end of the Jewish holiday season, and to celebrate it, armed settlers invaded Khirbet el Marajim and attacked family living there, in addition to attacks on many other communities in the West Bank during their olive harvest just today.

This period is going to be especially brutal, with the Israeli elections coming up and the olive harvest season, but hopefully it can be just a little bit milder after the holidays end.

Chag Sameach to all my Jewish and Israeli friends. ❤️

As you celebrate Sukkot, I am asking you to please take a few minutes and listen to this video.

What is happening right now in the West Bank cannot become normal.

Palestinian homes are being burned. Families are being terrorized. Elderly people are being attacked. Communities are living with fear that settlers will come in the middle of the night.

And I am speaking especially to you — my Israeli friends — because you can do something.

It is no longer enough to watch these videos and say, “These settlers don’t represent me.”

They may not represent your values, but they are part of your society. They are someone’s children, classmates, neighbors, colleagues, friends. They go to schools, synagogues, shops and malls alongside you.

The international community will issue statements. Governments will express concern. But you are there. You have a voice inside Israeli society that Palestinians simply do not have.

So please use it.

Speak to your families. Speak in your communities and synagogues. Demand accountability. Protest. Stand with Palestinian communities. Join protective presence. Refuse to look away.

If these settlers do not represent you, show us.

Palestinians should not have to face this alone.

Chag Sameach. May this holiday also be a moment to choose courage, humanity and action.
