Unintended Consequences Workshops The aim of the workshops is to establish a network of scholars interested in sociology as analysis of the unintended.

These workshops on unintended consequences provide a platform for discussing and presenting developments and refinements, both in terms of theory and empirical research, and to establish a network of scholars interested in sociology as analysis of the unintended. The meetings are scheduled to take place annually, usually in May in Warsaw. These are organized within the framework of the Sociolog

y of Law Section and Warsaw Department of Polish Sociological Association and other affiliated academic centers.

Excited about our new short movie highlighting the meeting on “revolutionary epistemology”, which was organized March 11, 2024 at University of Essex. This was the initiative of stellar sociologist Linsey McGoey (University of Essex), with Lukas Griessl (University of Tubingen), and us (Failure Lab, University of Warsaw).

Authors were selected, which sparked a run-in interview on the train followed by a remarkable ignorance-failure convening with accents of “voodoo in my blood” (Massive Attack). Have fun!
