Today, I write with a heavy heart.

The passing of Kunal Chokshi, Vice President of IPCCI, is a loss that is difficult to put into words. For many, Kunal was a respected leader, a trusted colleague, and a dedicated member of our community. For me, he was much more than that. He was a loyal friend, a confidant, and one of the pillars upon which IPCCI and the India Business Forum have been built.

I never thought that I would be writing these words about him. In all honesty, Kunal was the person who was supposed to write something like this for me someday, not the other way around.

Over the years, Kunal played an invaluable role in shaping our organizations into what they are today. His commitment was beyond words, his advice was always thoughtful, and his willingness to step forward whenever help was needed never diminished. He believed in bringing people together, building bridges, and strengthening the Indian and Polish business communities. Countless initiatives, events, and successes carry his imprint, often achieved quietly and without seeking recognition.

Yet beyond his professional accomplishments, what defined Kunal most was his character.

He was a devoted husband and a loving father to two beautiful daughters. Family always came first for him. He spoke about his loved ones with pride, affection, and gratitude. Despite the demands of work and community engagement, he never hesitated to make time for those who needed support, guidance, or simply a listening ear. His generosity, kindness, and sense of responsibility touched many lives.

Personally, I have lost a precious person in my life. The emptiness left behind is immense. And while I struggle to come to terms with this loss, I can only imagine the pain and heartbreak that his family and loved ones are experiencing at this moment.

To Kunal's family, please know that you are not alone. We stand with you today, and we will stand with you in the future. We will honor Kunal's memory not only through words, but through our actions, by supporting those he loved and continuing the values he embodied.

Kunal may no longer walk among us, but his legacy, his friendship, his generosity, and his impact on our community will endure.

He will be deeply missed, but he will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, my dear friend. Your journey may have ended, but your memory and the lives you touched will remain with us forever.

It is with profound sadness that we mourn the passing of Kunal Choksi, Vice President of IPCCI, a true pillar of our organisation and a deeply respected leader of our community.

Kunal was much more than a position or a title. He was one of those rare individuals who quietly leave an enduring mark through their dedication, integrity, generosity, and unwavering commitment to the community. He devoted his valuable time and energy to building and strengthening IPCCI, always believing in the power of collaboration, relationships, and collective progress.

His contribution to the organisation will remain a part of its foundation and its journey forward. His leadership was characterised not only by wisdom and commitment, but by warmth, humility, and a genuine desire to see others succeed.

Above all, Kunal was a wonderful human being. His kindness, approachable nature, positive spirit, and ability to inspire those around him made him truly special. He was a community leader in the truest sense—someone who brought people together, encouraged the next generation, and led by example.

For many, Kunal was not simply a colleague or a fellow community member; he was a mentor, an inspiration, a role model, and a friend. His life demonstrated that true leadership is not measured by the position one holds, but by the lives one touches and the difference one makes.

As we remember him, we celebrate a life of service, purpose, friendship, and leadership. The generations that follow will continue to benefit from the foundations he helped build and the example he set.

Though he is no longer with us, Kunal’s legacy will live on—in IPCCI, in the community he served so wholeheartedly, and in the hearts of all those fortunate enough to have known him.

May his memory forever be a source of inspiration, and may his family find strength and comfort in knowing how deeply respected, valued, and loved he was.

Reconnect. Network. Grow.

On 28 September 2026, the Indo-Polish Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IPCCI) proudly hosted the Back to Business Mixer at the elegant Radisson Collection Hotel, Warsaw, bringing together an exceptional community of business leaders, representatives of Polish ministries, diplomats, academics, think tanks, community association leaders, partner chambers, and entrepreneurs committed to strengthening Poland-India relations.

We were delighted to welcome more than 100 participants, demonstrating the growing energy, engagement, and importance of the Indo-Polish partnership. The evening served as an excellent platform to reconnect after the summer break, exchange ideas, build new relationships, and explore fresh opportunities for collaboration under the theme:

"Reconnect. Network. Grow."

A special highlight of the event was the presentation of the IPCCI Recognition Awards, honoring organizations and business leaders whose vision, investment, and commitment continue to strengthen economic cooperation and people-to-people ties between India and Poland.

We were privileged that H.E. Ms. Neeta Bhushan, Ambassador of India to Poland, personally presented the awards to:

Another significant milestone of the evening was the launch of the Indian Business Forum (IBF), a platform created by Mr.Rajesh Sudhakaran Nair for the Indian business community in Poland. The Forum aims to connect Indian entrepreneurs, professionals, and companies operating in Poland with businesses and institutions in India, creating new opportunities to network, collaborate, invest, and grow together.

We were honored by the presence of H.E. Ambassador Neeta Bhushan, whose unwavering support for the India-Poland partnership continues to inspire businesses on both sides. Her commitment to promoting stronger economic and strategic cooperation reflects the immense potential that exists between our nations.

A sincere thank you to Mr. Michał Fijoł, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines, whose participation added tremendous value to the event. As LOT continues to expand connectivity and foster closer links between international markets, its role in bringing people, businesses, and opportunities together is more important than ever. His presence highlighted the importance of stronger connections in driving trade, investment, and economic growth.

Our heartfelt thanks to all our members, partners, speakers, and guests who contributed to making this evening such a success. Together, we are building stronger bridges between Poland and India and creating new opportunities for business, innovation, and cultural exchange.

Celebrating India's 80th Anniversary of Independence at the Embassy of India in Poland 🇮🇳

It was an honour to join the vibrant Indian community and our Polish friends at the Embassy of India in Warsaw as we celebrated the 80th Anniversary of India's Independence.

The ceremony was graced by H.E. Smt. Neeta Bhushan, Ambassador of India to Poland, who proudly hoisted the National Flag and read the inspiring message from Hon'ble President of India, H.E. Smt. Droupadi Murmu. In her message, the President highlighted India's remarkable journey of progress, innovation, inclusivity, and the collective efforts of citizens in shaping a Viksit Bharat by 2047. She also acknowledged the invaluable contribution of the Indian diaspora worldwide in strengthening India's global standing.

As we reflected on our nation's achievements, there is much to be proud of. India continues to be one of the world's fastest-growing major economies, a leader in digital transformation, a rising innovation hub, a global space power, and an increasingly self-reliant nation in critical sectors such as defence, technology, manufacturing, and renewable energy.

In his Independence Day address from the Red Fort on 15 August 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed the vision of "Viksit Bharat @ 2047", emphasizing youth-led innovation, self-reliance, AI and semiconductor leadership, manufacturing excellence, and India's growing role on the global stage. He called upon every Indian to dream big and contribute towards building a developed nation for the centenary of India's independence.

Events like these remind us that while we may live across different geographies, our shared values, culture, and commitment to India's progress continue to unite us. It was particularly heartening to celebrate this occasion alongside our Polish friends, reflecting the deepening ties and friendship between India and Poland.

It was a pleasure to participate in today’s India–Poland Business Seminar, jointly organized by the Embassy of India, Regional Chamber of Commerce in Katowice, Pracodawcy, and BGK. The seminar highlighted the growing strategic and economic partnership between India and Poland and opened new avenues for collaboration across sectors.

The India–Poland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IPCCI) was represented by Mr. J. J. Singh, who assisted in presenting the immense potential of India’s tourism sector and also moderated an insightful panel discussion on EU–India FTA: Opportunities and the Way Forward.

The panel brought together distinguished voices including Mr. Piotr Kobielski (Ambassador, Ministry of Digitization), Mr. Adam Burakowski (Former Ambassador of Poland to India), Mrs. Małgorzata Bonikowska (President, Think Tank), Ms. Judyta Łatymowicz (Legally Smart), and Mr. Artur Kowalczyk (HCL Software). The discussion was truly inspiring, offering diverse perspectives on digital cooperation, policy alignment, legal frameworks, and the future direction of EU–India economic relations.

Heartfelt thanks to Mr. Mohanlal, Counsellor, Embassy of India; Mr. Tomasz Zjawiony, President, Regional Chamber of Commerce in Katowice; and Ms. Krinal Shah Suri, Deputy Director – International Relations, Regional Chamber of Commerce, for their leadership, support, and excellent coordination in making this impactful event possible.

The seminar reaffirmed the shared commitment of India and Poland to deepen economic ties, encourage innovation, and build long-term partnerships.

Courtesy Call with the New Ambassador of India to Poland

It was with pleasure and honour to make a courtesy call on Her Excellency Madam Neeta Bhushan, Ambassador of India to the Republic of Poland. The meeting provided an opportunity for a thoughtful and meaningful exchange on matters of relevance to the Indian community in Poland and the wider Indian diaspora present across various Polish cities.

The discussion highlighted the growing presence and contribution of Indians in Poland, including professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and skilled workers who are increasingly becoming an integral part of Polish society. We also shared perspectives on the significant role played by the Indo Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IPCCI) in strengthening bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation between India and Poland, while serving as a vital bridge between businesses and institutions of both countries.

Key issues faced by Indian employees in Poland, including challenges related to workplace integration and a few unfortunate incidents of racism, were discussed openly and constructively. There was a shared understanding on the importance of continued dialogue, awareness, and institutional cooperation to address these concerns effectively.

The interaction was encouraging, warm, and forward‑looking. Her Excellency displayed deep empathy, attentiveness, and a strong commitment to community engagement. Her leadership approach clearly reflects that of a bridge‑builder, strengthening mutual understanding and reinforcing the enduring friendship between India and Poland.

The Indo Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IPCCI), along with the entire Indian diaspora in Poland, stands ready to extend full assistance and cooperation to Her Excellency wherever required. We are confident that her tenure will be successful, impactful, and instrumental in further deepening India–Poland relations across diplomatic, economic, and cultural dimensions.

The Polish Chamber of Commerce (Krajowa Izba Gospodarcza), in collaboration with the Indo-Polish Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IPCCI), Think Tank, and CSM, had the honor of hosting a distinguished high-level business delegation from India, led by H.H. Yuvraj Sambhaji Chhatrapati, Maharaja of Kolhapur.

The delegation comprised prominent business leaders representing sectors such as defense, mining, education, media, finance, construction, and technology. The visit marked an important step toward strengthening economic cooperation and fostering new partnerships between India and Poland.

KIG was represented by Ms. Karolina Opielewicz, Director General of the Polish Chamber of Commerce. The event was also graced by Mr. Mohan Lal, Counsellor at the Embassy of India; Ms. Małgorzata Bonikowska, President of Think Tank; Mr. Adam Burakowski; and Mr. J.J. Singh, President of the Indo-Polish Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

A dedicated B2B session was organized, bringing together business representatives from both countries. The discussions focused on exploring opportunities for trade, joint ventures, and investment across key sectors.

This successful engagement highlights the growing momentum in Indo-Polish business relations and opens new avenues for collaboration and mutual growth.
