Quality education should be a trademark, not a privilege—and at Narjis Khatoon Hearing Impairment School, we firmly believe there should be no excuse in ensuring meaningful learning for every child.

In our recent science class, students engaged in hands-on activities designed to make learning more practical, interactive, and accessible. Our focus remains strong on deaf pedagogy, ensuring that every teaching strategy is adapted to the communication and learning needs of our students.

We are committed to doing our very best by continuously improving classroom practices and creating learning experiences that go beyond textbooks.

A special appreciation goes to our dedicated teachers who make this possible every day. In particular, Madam Razia deserves heartfelt recognition—not only as a valued member of our management team but also as a passionate teacher who is deeply committed to transforming lives through education.

Kudos to all our educators who are shaping futures with dedication, compassion, and purpose

A meaningful and forward-looking meeting was held at Narjis Khatoon Hearing Impairment School, Skardu, bringing together Syeda Fatima Mosavi (Advisor, Special Education & Women Development), Mr. Afzal Rasool (Founder, NKHEF), and Miss Aniqa Bano (Co-Founder, NKHEF).

The discussion focused on building a more inclusive Gilgit-Baltistan — where persons with disabilities have equal access to health, education, and employment opportunities. A strong emphasis was placed on creating sustainable, grassroots-level impact through collaboration and system strengthening.

One of the key highlights was the potential role of Narjis Khatoon School and Training Centre in supporting the Government Education System through teacher training, similar to models like PDCN, to promote inclusive education in mainstream schools.

The meeting also explored partnerships with organizations such as Rupani Foundation and Hashoo Foundation to establish inclusive Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) centres across different regions — ensuring early intervention and quality learning opportunities for every child.

NKHEF will soon organize a multi-stakeholder seminar to bring together government bodies, development partners, and education experts to collectively shape the future of inclusive education in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The need for awareness, early identification, and timely diagnosis of children with special needs was strongly emphasized, highlighting the role of government and community in ensuring no child is left behind.

Together, we move forward with a shared commitment to build an inclusive, equitable, and accessible society for all 💙

At the Early Childhood Development Center of Narjis Khatoon Hearing Impairment School, Skardu, our dedicated teachers are making sincere and hardworking efforts to nurture the holistic development of every child. Through engaging and thoughtful activities, our young learners are being introduced to the concept of the color blue—not just as a shade on paper, but as a meaningful step in their cognitive and creative growth.

Under the guidance of our committed ECD teacher, Miss Hina, each lesson goes beyond simple instruction. It becomes a journey of exploration, where imagination is encouraged and individual potential is recognized. These colors represent more than art—they reflect the tireless efforts of our educators in shaping diverse destinies and painting brighter futures for our children.
Grateful to all donors and contributors for helping us doing excellence in education.
