Alhamdulillah! Another milestone for FSO. 📚🏔️
FSO, in collaboration with Tormik Welfare Students, has successfully established its next community library in Tormik Valley, District Roundu, Gilgit-Baltistan, in the presence of respected, influential, and educated members of the valley.
We could have opened a library in a city, but FSO is a student network rooted in the remote and mountainous areas of Gilgit-Baltistan. Our mission is to take opportunities where they are needed most—especially to students from underprivileged families who cannot afford to move to big cities for education.
We, as students from these remote areas, have faced countless challenges ourselves. But we want the next generation to face fewer of them.
What makes this library special is its location. We have transformed a simple shop—where young people would often spend hours without purpose—into a space for learning, reflection, and growth. In a remote mountainous valley, we are creating an environment where youth can spend their time purposefully and dream beyond their circumstances.
Reaching such a remote valley, collecting books from different corners of Pakistan, and bringing everything together was not easy. But with the support, trust, and prayers of our well-wishers, we made it possible.
A heartfelt thank you to my FSO team, dedicated members, and volunteers who gave their time, energy, and countless efforts to make this mission a reality.
