Distribution of Assistive Devices for Persons with Disabilities
Sindh Green Foundation (SGF), with the support of the Department Of Empowerment Of Person With Disabilities, Sindh Government, successfully organized the Distribution of Assistive Devices Ceremony on 17 June 2026 at Bilal Banquet, Shahdadpur, District Sanghar, Sindh, Pakistan. More than 150 persons with disabilities received wheelchairs, tricycles, walkers, hearing aids, crutches, and other assistive devices aimed at improving mobility, independence, and quality of life.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nisar Ahmed Brohi, Regional Director DEPD (Shaheed Benazirabad Region); Mr. Qamar Din Rahuputo, Assistant Commissioner Shahdadpur; Mr. Shafqat Solangi, Additional Director Social Welfare Department; Dr. Faiz Mari, ADH Health Department Sanghar; Mr. Abdul Hafeez Jamali, Chief Officer District Council Sanghar; Mr. Mohsin Ibrahim Umrani, DSP Police Department; Mr. Sajid Saddar, Deputy Director Women Development Department; Mr. Moosa Hingorjo, Assistant Director Local Government; Mr. Zahid Ali Rind, Assistant Director Social Welfare Department Shahdadpur; along with social and political leaders Mr. Sher Muhammad Dero, Mr. Imran Hyder Dhamrah, Rao Yousif, Ms. Rafia Gullani, Ms. Shahzadi Qureshi, representatives of the Bar Council, Senior Advocate Mr. Tariq Mehmood Arain, media representatives, civil society members, and community leaders.
The initiative was organized with the belief that assistive devices are not merely equipment; they are tools that enhance mobility, independence, confidence, and participation. They help persons with disabilities access education, healthcare, livelihood opportunities, and community life with greater dignity and self-reliance.
SGF remains committed to promoting accessibility, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all while working alongside government institutions, civil society, and local communities to ensure that persons with disabilities can fully participate in every aspect of life.
