The DSI (Development Support Initiatives) Team successfully conducted a plantation activity in Mahrof Dahri Village, where 50 plants were planted to promote environmental sustainability and a greener future.

In addition, a plantation drive was also carried out at the Indus School System, encouraging students and the community to take part in protecting our environment.

This initiative reflects our commitment to creating awareness about climate change and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.

Volunteers from Development Support Initiatives (DSI) recently conducted water quality assessments across several villages as part of the organization’s ongoing public health initiatives.

The findings indicated that in certain areas, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) levels were above 1200 mg/L, which is significantly higher than the recommended safe limit and poses serious risks to human health.

This intervention reflects DSI’s continued commitment to promoting health, hygiene, and access to safe drinking water in underserved communities.

Today, Development Support Initiatives (DSI) had the opportunity to participate in an important seminar featuring SUN Coordinator Ms. Afshan Khan as the keynote speaker.

Ms. Khan discussed how the SUN Movement, in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), is supporting countries in future-proofing nutrition through strengthened partnerships, mobilized financing, and the integration of nutrition priorities across multisectoral investments.

The session provided meaningful insights on advancing sustainable nutrition strategies, and DSI is proud to be part of this collective effort toward building healthier and more resilient communities.

DSI organized an educational session yesterday in Kamalani Village, Taluka Shahdadpur, District Sanghar.
The session focused on the importance of education and how it can bring meaningful change to our lives and communities. The speaker, Mr. Muhammad Uris Umrani, encouraged the villagers, saying that no matter the circumstances, every child must be sent to school.

Similar educational sessions are being conducted in various villages to promote the value of education and raise community awareness.

DSI Participated in CHS Alliance General Assembly

Today, the CHS Alliance General Assembly was held, in which Development Support Initiatives (DSI) actively participated.

As the aid sector continues to face monumental change, the need to come together and reflect on the future of accountability has become more important than ever. This General Assembly brought together over 270 member organizations to discuss and consider the approval of a new strategy and statutes that will guide the Alliance through the coming years.

The participation of DSI reflects its continued commitment to promoting accountability, transparency, and collaboration within the humanitarian and development sectors.

🌍 Strengthening Policy Influence on Disaster Risk Reduction & Climate Change

DSI remains committed to advancing its policy influence on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change through active engagement on the GNDR platform.

Recently, our lead, Mr. Abdul Ghuffar Umrani, participated in a seminar jointly organized by GNDR and Community World Service Asia at the CSO Club, Hyderabad.

The event was honored by the presence of Ms. Saima Agha, Member of Parliament and Parliamentary Secretary for Sports and Youth Affairs, as the Chief Guest, alongside distinguished civil society colleagues.

The seminar provided a valuable space for dialogue, networking, and collaboration, reinforcing the shared commitment to building resilience against disasters and addressing climate challenges collectively.
