Shama Development Organization (SDO) is a humanitarian, nongovernmental, non-political & non profitable organization which was founded in 2001 and is recognized at local level. Introduction/Background
Azad Jammu & Kashmir, a state within the North of Pakistan with the total population of 3.6 million. Administratively it has been divided into 10 Districts, 3 Divisions, 25 Tehsils,195 Union Councils

. District Pooch is one of them with 4 Tehsils, 26 Union Councils and 125 Revenue Villages. Union Council Bangoin is one of the Union Council of Tehsil Rawalakot , District Poonch away from 21 km from Rawalakot, where the SDO initiated the developmental activities. SDO was the clusters of 10 COs in Bangoin in 1999 facilitated and funded by ILM and Northern Resource Management Project funded by World Bank. In 2OO1 it was registered with the support of ILM and Local community Organizations as Shama Development Organization (SDO).
