Founded in 2014, Umeed-E-Subh is a student run social welfare team striving for a Literate Pakistan. Child
labour has become a curse for our society.

UMEED-E-SUBH - A STRUGGLE FOR LITERATE PAKISTAN

INTRODUCTION:
UMEED-E-SUBH (Literate Pakistan) is a team of students of UET Taxila working to provide
underprivileged students with things necessary to carry out their education. The motivation
behind this initiative is to enhance the literacy rate of our society so that we can transform
PAKISTAN into a literate country. AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
In our co

untry many children have to abandon their education to support their families. Everywhere we can see children working day and
night just to earn a piece of bread. Pakistan was ranked 6th in the list of countries where child
labour is very common. Children are meant to enjoy their childhood, get educated, become a
responsible citizen of their country and do great things like inventing new ways of power
generation. They are supposed to become the saviors of humanity. But in our country at a very
tender age they are forced to work like slaves. Umeed-E-Subh aims at providing those children with basic necessities who have a will to
study, will to become someone useful for mankind, for themselves. Pakistani children are as
intelligent as they come. Our children like Ali Moeen Nawazish and Arfa Karim were able to
make records only because they had a financially stable life. Our main goal is to serve humanity
and make children believe that not having money to live a comfortable life does not mean they
don’t have potential to do great things or even in some cases simple things.
