Awami Development Organization successfully conducted a training session for religious leaders from Hindu, Muslim, and Christian communities at the REEDS Pakistan Head Office on the importance of the HPV vaccine in preventing cervical cancer among our daughters and women.

The session focused on creating awareness about cervical cancer prevention, promoting the lifesaving benefits of the HPV vaccine, and encouraging communities to work together for a healthier future. Religious leaders play a vital role in spreading positive messages and helping communities make informed health decisions.

We are pleased to share the successful completion of a Free Medical Camp organized in Tranda Sawaye Khan By Awami Development Organization in collaboration with REEDS Pakistan

More than 100 patients were examined by our dedicated male and female doctor, ensuring comfortable and accessible healthcare for everyone in the community. Free medicines were also provided to all patients.

This initiative reflects our commitment to serving humanity and reaching underserved communities with essential healthcare services.

We are grateful to our medical team, volunteers, and supporters who made this camp possible.

Awareness session on integrating HPV vaccination into EPI and cervical cancer prevention District: Rahim Yar Khan Date: 24-Apr-2026 Venue: Venus Memorial Health Clinic Session proceeds by: Dr. Sidra Noreen Summary : A powerful community session marking World Immunization Week 2026. In collaboration with ADO (Awami Development Organization) and REEDS Pakistan, our mission was clear: to share the life-saving message that “For Every Generation, Vaccines Work.”
This wasn't just a talk about routine shots; it was a deep dive into a promise for our daughters’ futures. We focused on the Routine immunization schedule — HPV Vaccination the primary shield against cervical cancer. By protecting girls between the ages of 9 and 14, we aren't just giving a vaccine; we are effectively rewriting the narrative of women’s health in Pakistan. 🇵🇰
Ms. Fozia Bukhari highlighted the importance of EPI and HPV vaccination. Dr. Mishal Shahid provided technical information on HPV and cervical cancer, including symptoms and prevention. Ms. Shazia Nighat addressed common myths and misconceptions about vaccines.

The session was interactive and helped improve awareness about HPV vaccination and its role in preventing cervical cancer.

Strengthening Partnerships for Immunization Excellence | REEDS Pakistan & Awami Development Organization (ADO)
REEDS Pakistan & it's Sub Recipient Awami Development Organization (ADO) proudly hosted a high-level coordination meeting with the District Health Authority (DHA) Rahim Yar Khan, bringing together key stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and streamline upcoming immunization initiatives. The session focused on joint planning for World Immunization Week (WIW), including the successful conduct of an inaugural session, under the strong collaboration with District Health Authorities, guided by the visionary leadership of the Directorate of Health Services–EPI Punjab and with technical support from Mannion Daniels (MD) and Oxford Policy Management (OPM).
During the visit to the REEDS & ADO office Rahim Yar Khan, *CEO DHA Rahim Yar Khan, Dr. Hafiz Babar Ali, along with senior officials including, Dr. Abrar Cheema (Incharge DDSRU), Dr. Fahad Iftikhar (DC IRMNCH), Dr. Jhanzaib (DSC DHA Rahim Yar Khan), Dr. Usman (DDHO Rahim Yar Khan), Mr. Yousaf Saeed (Focal Person DHA), and Jam Muhammad Amir, appreciated REEDS’ & ADO contributions towards strengthening HPV interventions & Routine Immunization (RI)
The meeting agenda also included a progress review on both Routine Immunization and HPV projects, ensuring alignment and shared vision.
The DHA leadership proposed expanding RI interventions to hard-to-reach Union Councils of Rahim Yar Khan, further advancing our collective mission of equitable immunization coverage and ensuring every child in every community is reached.

I had the privilege of attending a two-day training on Gender Mainstreaming, organized by PPI at Four Points By Sheraton's, Lahore which was an insightful and empowering experience. The training enhanced my understanding of gender equality, inclusion, and the importance of integrating gender perspectives into policies, programs, and organizational practices. Through interactive sessions, group discussions, and practical exercises, I gained valuable knowledge on identifying gender gaps and promoting equitable opportunities for all. It was truly inspiring to learn alongside passionate professionals committed to building more inclusive and just communities. I look forward to applying these learnings in my work and contributing towards a more gender-responsive and equitable society.

Session Overview:*
Today, a monitoring visit was conducted by Dr. Muzaffar Saeed, Program Lead, REEDS Pakistan. During the visit, he monitored a community awareness session with parents and caregivers focusing on the HPV vaccine and its integration into the Routine Immunization (RI) program.

The session was organized by the ADO and conducted by Dr. Sidra (CES). Key topics included the importance of HPV vaccination, its safety and effectiveness, and the role of routine immunization in preventing HPV-related diseases.

The community participated very actively in the session. Parents and caregivers showed strong interest, asked cross-questions, and engaged in open discussion, which reflected their concerns and willingness to learn more about the HPV vaccine. Their active participation contributed to a productive and interactive session.

Overall, the session was well-organized and effectively delivered, significantly enhancing community awareness and acceptance of the HPV vaccine within the routine immunization framework.

Visit of District Health Authority Officials, Respected Dr Liaqat Ali Chohan (CEO Health, RYK) , Dr Athar Zaman (DDHO), Dr Khalil Ahmed (DSV) , Dr Yousaf Saeed ( Coordinator ) to Awami Development Organization working at REEDs Head Office, Rahim Yar Khan. In this visit, planning regarding integration of HPV vaccine into Routine Immunization and coordination of DHA with ADO, for their field activities was discussed. The visit was a success and CEO Health showed positive response and acknowledged our work during and after the HPV campaign.
He further ensured full support from District Health Authorities wherever needed.
