d community Action process (2004-2010) SCAP established itself as an independent NGO and registered with the Government of Balochistan, under act 1961-XL VI. SCAP was known as community Action Process with a broad mandate to carry out mobilization, sensitizing and capacitating process through/ of duty bearers, individual, families and community in Kalat District. CAP team capable enough to understand community development hierarchy and addressed critical problems underlying communities, it was a successful story that built the capacity of communities to access their problems, analyze and to identify the cause of their pertaining problems. The SCAP philosophy is based on the idea of β€œDevelopment by themselves” that was materialized by UNICEF in 2004 with a local NGO in Kalat district for implementation of child survival and Development Initiative, having trained group of human resource that can perform activities related to community development i.e. provision of basic knowledge about child health and hygiene, education, women rights and gender equity. As one of prime mandate of SCAP is to strengthen the communities to address following thematic areas;

organized Table Top Simulation Exercise on Anticipatory Actions for Drought in with support of FAO Pakistan at PDMA office Quetta. Mr. Asghar Ali Jamali, Deputy Director PDMA Balochistan chaired a landmark Table top simulation exercise on Anticipatory Actions for Drought in District . This initiative was the first of its kind in Balochistan brought together officials from relevant line departments, humanitarian partners, and UN agencies to collaboratively develop and respond to a real time drought scenario, the exercise aimed to evaluate early action mechanisms strengthen preparedness and enhance inter agency coordination for effective drought response.The simulation exercise was as an advance provincial understanding of anticipatory action and disaster risk reduction. During the session Mr. Asghar Ali Jamali emphasized the importance of replicating such exercises at the DDMA level to further improve district coordination preparedness and timely response to drought emergencies particularly in vulnerable areas like . SCAP Balochistan in colloboration with FAO Pakistan and with the support of provincial stakeholders and technical experts organized a consultative workshop on climate resilience anticipatory action water resource management and food security in BUITEMS. Mr.Waleed Mehdi Head of Sub Office FAO, Mr. Rowaid Ullah Anticipatory Action Specialist FAO, Ms. Salma Roshan khan Program Consultant shared valuable insights on climate change trends district-level vulnerability hotspots drought risks water scarcity disaster resilience approaches and the role of early warning systems in addressing prevailing climatic challenges in Balochistan. Technical sessions were led by r professionals including Ms. Nida Anjum, Mr. Abdul Ghaffar, Dr. Qasim Kakar and Dr. Muhammad Adil who highlighted the importance of integrating anticipatory action into provincial policies, development planning, and financing frameworks food security challenges, livelihood vulnerabilities related to agriculture livestock, rangelands and the need for coordinated efforts to strengthen resilience across vulnerable communities. A major highlight of the workshop was the soft launching of the Contextual Analysis of Drought Risk in followed by the distribution of certificates and souvenirs to participants. On the occasion of an Advocacy and Awareness seminar organized by the district Health Department Kalat With sponsorship of at the District Council Hall Kalat. A large number of participants attended, including vaccinators, health workers, LHWs, political leaders, tribal elders, and people from various walks of life.The seminar was chaired by District Health Officer Kalat, Dr. Anjum Zia Baloch, while the chief guest was Deputy Commissioner Kalat, Munir Ahmed Durrani. Among the notable attendees were CEO SCAP Balochistan Mr. Hassan Hasrat Sb, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kalat Shahnawaz Baloch, District Education Officer Sanaullah Sana, District Polio Officer Dr. Ghulam Mujtaba Bajoi, Deputy DHO Dr. Iqbal Noorzai with other respected figures, health workers, senior vaccinators, religious scholars, teachers, and members of the media.The purpose of the event was to highlight the importance of immunization and raise awareness about the benefits of vaccination in preventing various diseases, especially polio, measles, pneumonia, meningitis, tetanus, hepatitis, whooping cough, and other dangerous illnesses.Addressing the seminar, Deputy Commissioner Kalat Munir Ahmed Durrani stated that the district administration is utilizing all available resources to improve the health sector and ensure the success of the immunization program. District Health Officer Dr. Anjum Zia Baloch provided a detailed briefing on the activities carried out during Immunization Week, the targets achieved, and the challenges faced. District Polio Officer Dr. Ghulam Mujtaba Bajoi highlighted the importance of polio eradication, calling it a national duty in which every individual must play a role.Other speakers also addressed the seminar, emphasizing joint efforts to make the immunization program successful. The positive role of religious scholars, teachers, and the media was also appreciated at the end of the event Deputy Commissioner Kalat distributed certificates among the best-performing health department employees. In last awareness walk was organized, in which all participants actively took part. The aim of the walk was to raise public awareness about vaccination. One day Food Security and livelihood (FSL-II) Project Orientation session was successfully organized by SCAP Balochistan with support of Secours Islamique France for project staff. The event commenced with the recitation of Holy Quran after that CEO SCAP Balochistan Mr. Hassan Hasrat Sb dileverd welcome remaks and extended his gratitude to all participants and guests , Ms.Salma Roshan Khan Manager Program also presented the overview of the Organization. A very special thanks to Mr. Abdul Razaq Base Program officer (SIF) and Syed Haider shah Base Meal Officer (SIF) to briefly present the Food security and livelihood (FSL-II) program background, key objectives, targeted areas, guidelines of data collecton process, beneficiaries identification and selection criteria.
