Balochistan Language Academy, Noshki – A Model Institution
By: Hayati
The Baluchistan Language Academy, Noshki, established in 2007 in Noshki under the aegis of the Azat Foundation, has played a significant and exemplary role in advancing Noshki's educational environment, addressing the demands of modern education with exceptional discipline and organization.
The academy was founded by Zahid Ahmed Mengal, Executive Director of the Azad Foundation. The team of founding members included Gul Khan Naseer Baloch, Sher Jan Badini Sab, Sir Latif ur Rehman, Zafar Mengal, Mukhtiar Ahmed Sab, other male colleagues, and female teachers.
The core objective behind the academy's establishment was to provide an excellent educational environment for the youth of Noshki, guiding them towards an academic and conscious direction aligned with modern educational requirements.
Countless students who studied here have gone on to achieve excellent results and secure high-ranking positions in various fields. Notable alumni include Sumit Kumar, Hubiar Badini, Muhammad Noor, Abdul Wahid Azad Jamaldini, Naeem Jamaldini, Jahanzaib Mengal, Munir Ahmed, Haroon Mengal, Arish Kumar, Saeed Ahmed, Iftekhar Ahmed, Asad, Masid Rizwan, Muhammad Ilyas, Sana Ullah, and many others. Moreover, it is a promising sign that some graduates of this institution have established their own language academies in Noshki—an encouraging development indeed, for a lamp is always lit by another lamp, and the goal now is to keep increasing the number of these lamps, spreading light even further. Subsequently, qualified teachers "produced" by the academy continued its mission. Although this continuity was briefly interrupted due to some unavoidable circumstances, friends such as Waqas Baloch, Sohaib Ahmed, A***n Nazar, and others have now resolved to reactivate the academy with renewed determination. Best of luck to them.
In the current digital era of AI, the academy aims to differentiate itself from traditional educational and schooling systems by offering a superior framework and planning for student education that meets contemporary needs.
Furthermore, the academy's instructors plan to develop a comprehensive work plan for the moral and conscious grooming of students to address societal issues, such as why the youth are getting "de-trapped."
Key questions the academy seeks to address include why today's children and young adults prioritize activities like PUBG, TikTok, or motorcycle wheeling over education, and why their attitude towards parents, others, and society is aggressive. Transforming this behavior is identified as a primary challenge and duty for the educators.
To address these challenges, weekly career counseling and motivational lectures are essential at the center. Such lecture programs were a feature of the academy in the past, and this vital tradition should be continued.
