WORLD TOURISM DAY 2026
27 September
Celebrating Tourism, Culture & Heritage
On the occasion of World Tourism Day 2026, the Pakistan Culture, Tourism & Arts Organization (PCTO) extends its sincere appreciation to all individuals, organizations, professionals, communities and stakeholders contributing to the promotion and development of tourism.
Tourism serves as an important means of fostering cultural understanding, economic opportunity, community development and international cooperation. It also provides a valuable platform for protecting and promoting the cultural and historical heritage of nations.
Pakistan possesses remarkable tourism potential, enriched by its diverse landscapes, ancient civilizations, historical monuments, traditional arts, cultural heritage and vibrant communities. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in particular, holds a distinguished place in Pakistan’s cultural and historical identity, including the invaluable legacy of the Gandhara Civilization.
On this significant day, PCTO reaffirms its commitment to promoting responsible, sustainable and inclusive tourism, while contributing to the preservation of Pakistan’s cultural heritage and presenting the country’s positive image to national and international audiences.
Let us work together to promote Pakistan’s culture, tourism, arts and heritage for present and future generations.
Pakistan Culture, Tourism & Arts Organization (PCTO)
