January 28, 2025 - In collaboration with Blue Veins & Young Omang, Diva Welfare Organization successfully conducted an advocacy campaign at P**A Hall, University of Peshawar, to highlight the urgent need for standardizing the legal marriage age of young girls in KP.
The event gathered key stakeholders, including government officials, civil society representatives, and young girls, to discuss legal gaps and the harmful consequences of early marriages. Experts from the health, education, and social welfare sectors provided critical insights into the negative impact of child marriage on young girls' health, education, and future opportunities.
Participants engaged in meaningful discussions on policy advocacy and legal amendments, calling for collective action to bring legislative reforms. The campaign concluded with a strong commitment from all stakeholders to work towards enforcing child marriage laws and raising community awareness.
