We are a committed group of people that have come together from various backgrounds and have formed a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political, non-religious organization for the sole purpose of working for the betterment of the community. Initially, most of our members started working in the humanitarian sector after the devastating earthquake of October 2005, in Pakistan. We were each working
in our individual capacity at various locations for earthquake affectees, and by and by, we met under different circumstances and ultimately decided to form an organization that would be free of corruption, would be held accountable and would work under Sphere and HAP standards. Consequently, we formed an organization on the 14th of August, 2006 and started our first project, voluntarily, in Balakot and Shinkiari. Subsequently, we continued to grow and completed projects in various areas of Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa. We have been generating our own funds, either through donations from the communities or by organizing fund-raising events.
