Proud Milestone by PRDS !!
We are delighted to share a significant achievement from our role as the lead implementing partner for the ILMpact Education Programme in Shangla & Buner districts. The ILMpact is funded by and is being implemented with technical assistance from the and consortium partners , , , , and , this initiative is a true testament to the power of partnership.

Our devoted team has successfully achieved all project targets, directly by reaching over 16,000 beneficiaries, including children, teachers, and PTC members. These efforts were widely recognized during the recent Partners Review Workshop by the British Council, a proud moment for us all.

ILMpact is dedicated to promote inclusive, equitable, and quality education with a focus on gender equity, where more than 70% of direct beneficiaries are girls , the project works to improve foundational learning and enhance community support for education. The field teams have successfully managed to establish remedial camps using the Teaching at the Right Level methodology, a total of 100 local lady teachers have been deputed and trained under the grant to assist the effective and efficient implementation of the programme activities in target areas ..

We extend our deepest gratitude to our partners, the dedicated communities in Buner and Shangla, and our incredible team for making this impact possible. Together, we are building a brighter, more inclusive future for every child.

We are pleased to share that Participatory Rural Development Society (PRDS) is now officially registered with the Directorate General Law & Human Rights, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

As per the directions of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, all organizations working on human rights in the province are required to be registered with this authority. PRDS has successfully completed this process and remains committed to promoting, protecting, and advancing human rights across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

We look forward to continuing our work with renewed responsibility, strengthened compliance, and deeper collaboration with stakeholders to serve vulnerable communities.

Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education KP, Mr. Muhammad Khalid Khan, distributed 460 Android tablets among government school teachers at the MYRP Project Closing Ceremony held in Peshawar.

The event, organized by Participatory Rural Development Society (PRDS) in collaboration with VSO Pakistan and Education Cannot Wait( ECW), celebrated the program’s achievements in advancing digital literacy, inclusive education, and resilient learning opportunities.

The ceremony was graced by Ms. Seher Afsheen, Country Director VSO International, and Mr. Arjumand Shah, Chief Executive PRDS, who highlighted MYRP’s transformative role in strengthening access to quality education for teachers and students across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

During the event, the Secretary also distributed wheelchairs and other assistive devices, including hearing aids and walking stands, among physically challenged students, emphasizing the government’s commitment to inclusive and accessible education for all.

Under MYRP, a total of 1,596 tablets have been distributed so far; 6,000 children have graduated from ECE and CLP centers; 3,300 girls have received dignity kits; and over 1,200 youth including girls have completed technical and vocational training.

The Secretary appreciated PRDS, VSO, and ECW for their dedicated efforts in equipping teachers and students with digital tools, assistive devices, and inclusive learning opportunities, paving the way toward a more equitable and future-ready education system.

Under the Disaster Risk Financing (DRF) Programme, the DRF Host, PRDS, successfully concluded a critical 3-day Anticipatory Action initiative in Islamabad, organized in collaboration with Ready Pakistan and the Start Network. The initiative marks an important step toward strengthening Pakistan’s preparedness for the forecasted 2025–26 drought.

Phase 1: Deep Dive into Localized Finance (Sept 30)
The event began with an in-depth Start Fund Orientation for Ready Pakistan members. This focused training enhanced local capacity to rapidly access and activate the 72-hour funding window of the Start Fund—enabling swift, evidence-based Anticipatory Action (AA) led directly by local organizations.

Phase 2: National Contingency Planning (Oct 1–2)
The following two-day Drought Contingency Planning Workshop brought together a high-level mix of stakeholders, including:
• Government & UN Agencies: PMD, NDMA, and UNOCHA
• Technical Institutions: SUPARCO and academia
• Provincial & Local Authorities: PDMAs from all four provinces and District Commissioners from selected districts
• Humanitarian Partners: Ready Pakistan members and other local, national, and international organisations

The Chief Executive of Participatory Rural Development Society (PRDS), Mr. Arjumand Shah, along with a donor mission from the Church of Jesus Christ, visited flood-affected areas of Buner District including Tehsil Gadezai, villages Beshonai, Sultanwas, and Pir Baba.
Deputy Commissioner Buner, Mr. Kashif Qayyum Khan, and Assistant Commissioner Khudu Khel, Ms. FaranGis Azeem and other officials, accompanied the delegation and briefed them on the flood situation, damages, and ongoing relief efforts.

The visit also included inspections of local schools affected by the floods. PRDS extends its sincere thanks to the district administration and donor partners for their cooperation and commitment to supporting the affected communities.
