🇵🇰 Celebrating Independence Day with Hope, Compassion & Purpose at Zhwandoon Welfare Organization 🇵🇰
On the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day, Zhwandoon Welfare Organization, Peshawar, hosted a grand and meaningful celebration filled with patriotism, hope, compassion, and smiles. ❤️🇵🇰
The event brought together Thalassemia and Hemophilia fighters and their parents, street children enrolled in our education program, doctors, lawyers, students, social workers, volunteers, and respected members of different walks of life.
We were honored by the presence of our distinguished guests, including Mr. Muhammad Shoaib, District Social Welfare Officer Peshawar, Social Welfare, Special Education & Women Empowerment Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Usman Asif Deputy commissioner (FBR), Mr. Shah Hassan, Deputy Administrator, Zakat & Ushr Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; Dr. Fitrat Buneri, Press Secretary and Personal Assistant to the Minister, Information Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; Mr. Arbab Shakeel, social worker; Advocate Roohullah Jan; Dr. Khayam Hussain Raja and his team; students of Khyber Medical University; the team of Dosti Welfare Organization, and many other honorable guests.
📖 Beginning with the Holy Quran
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a special prayer for the peace, prosperity, progress, and security of Pakistan.
Chairman Zhwandoon Welfare Organization, Sahibzada Muhammad Shabeer, warmly welcomed all the guests and briefed them about Zhwandoon’s ongoing medical, educational, and humanitarian initiatives.
Zhwandoon is working to provide free blood transfusion services to children living with Thalassemia, Hemophilia, and other blood disorders, while also providing free education and essential support to underprivileged and street children.
🩸 Raising Awareness Against Thalassemia
Speakers highlighted that Thalassemia remains a major challenge for our society and emphasized the importance of awareness, particularly among young people.
They stressed the importance of pre-marital Thalassemia screening and proper medical counseling to help prevent the disease in future generations.
They also appealed to the community to stand beside Thalassemia and Hemophilia fighters not as a burden, but as children who deserve love, dignity, hope, and a chance to live a healthy and meaningful life.
A single blood donation can become someone’s tomorrow. ❤️🩸
📚 Education Is the True Meaning of Freedom
Prof. Samina Iffat, Founder & Coordinator, Zhwandoon Welfare Organization, shared a powerful message: the true spirit of freedom can only be achieved when every child has access to education.
She emphasized that an educated and empowered generation is the strongest foundation for a prosperous Pakistan.
Advocate Hasina, Director Education Program, Zhwandoon Welfare Organization, highlighted the importance of educating street children, saying that every child living on the streets deserves education, respect, dignity, and a brighter future.
Because when we educate one child, we are not only changing one life we are helping shape an entire generation. ❤️
🩺 Prevention Is Better Than Cure
Dr. Khayam Hussain Raja spoke about the prevention of Thalassemia and emphasized that alongside treatment, greater attention must be given to prevention and public awareness.
He stressed that responsible decisions today can help protect future generations from Thalassemia.
🤝 Support from the Social Welfare Department
Chief Guest Mr. Muhammad Shoaib, District Social Welfare Officer Peshawar, appreciated Zhwandoon Welfare Organization’s efforts for Thalassemia and Hemophilia children, street children, and other deserving members of society.
He assured that the Social Welfare Department would extend possible support and cooperation to strengthen and expand these humanitarian efforts.

The distinguished guests also visited Zhwandoon Welfare Organization and met with Thalassemia and Hemophilia fighters, their parents, and street children enrolled in the education program.
The celebration became even more special when the children joined the guests and Zhwandoon team for Independence Day cake cutting. 🎂🇵🇰
The smiles on the children’s faces reminded us of the true meaning of freedom hope, dignity, love, and equal opportunities for every child.
🚶♂️ Freedom Walk
The event concluded with a Freedom Walk to promote patriotism, national unity, and awareness about Thalassemia prevention.

At the conclusion, Chairman Sahibzada Muhammad Shabeer expressed heartfelt gratitude to all distinguished guests, parents, children, students, social workers, volunteers, and participants for making the celebration meaningful and memorable.
Commemorative shields were also presented to the respected guests in recognition of their valuable participation and support for humanitarian causes.
This was not merely an Independence Day celebration.
It was a celebration of hope.
A celebration of childhood.
A celebration of humanity.
And a renewed promise to build a Pakistan where no child is deprived of health, education, dignity, or the opportunity to dream. ❤️🇵🇰
